Splinterland’s Aggy Gets Personal

With all the latest updates about to roll out in Splinterlands it’s difficult to keep up. On top of all that I am playing as much as I can to push through my struggles. Meanwhile today Splinterland’s Aggy and his other half did a awesome interview really on Aggy’s life.

I tend to forget that although the game is digital there are really awesome and great people who run the game and it’s services. Aggy went deep with his life story and how he got into Splinterland’s and why he believes in crypto. After watching his interview I am now rejuvenated in playing and staying active in the game as much as I can.

Link above goes directly to Mrs. Aggy’s interview of Aggy. For the first time, or at least my first time, got to see Mrs. Aggy and spoiler alert near the end of the interview baby wakes up crying and gets one some screen time too.

Aggy goes briefly into his past of what he did before Splinterlands and it was fascinating. Fascinating because how he ended up presently was difficult to predict. Just simply amazing how his life trajectory went.

To put in my own opinion on all this it was great to hear and see Aggy talk deeply about his pass and how much passion he has to teach others and wanting others to succeed. All that passion transitioning into Splinterlands and crypto as a whole.

I had forgotten that he was very much an influencer in steem then but hive now way before he was co-founder of Splinterlands. His leadership and outspoken opinions on crypto was part of his rise to being top of hive influencers, but having bid bot upvotes definitely helped too.

There was a lot he went into about his life more so than much of Splinterlands. Yet due to the untimely demise of his education job he was able to flip into crypto and Splinterlands with Matt. All this just happening right around the crypto boom and bust of 2018.

In one major pivot a phd teacher turned professor and then sales person of educational material ending with the pivot towards crypto was a big risk but one that seems to be worth the reward.

He is married with a wife that adores him as you can see in the interview and the kids just full of life. To add on top of all that Aggy loves what he does for work is truly living his dream.

Near the end of the interview Aggy discusses what his end goal of all this work he is doing is for and I loved his answer. Although raised on the east coast and primarily Liberal influence Aggy has the courage and mindset to ask some deep questions about the world. Questions like why do certain people get to print money while others can’t? What rules are created in the laws of currency? How does government get involved in all of this?

Having used and learned about crypto I got the opportunity to see a side of currency not seen if I hand simply stick to fiat. Will I one day learn as much as Aggy wishes to teach us? It’s amazing interview and worth wild to watch.
