How Low Can We Go?
If you told me Chaos max level set will sometime in the future be worth less than $700 I would not have believed you. Here we are seeing prices of cards continue to drop.
Even a set of rebellion cards are now starting to show signs of value drop. If trend is our friend it may as well likely fall in value in the future. This has been happening to all the legacy card sets.
I do not know what anything can really help boost Splinterland’s legacy cards. We got new proposals approved that may help activity but yet to remain to be seen if it will help in the long run.
With updates and promises a better times ahead we still end up going lower in the long run.
I am seriously starting to think that this may not be ideal to be holding on now. I can be totally wrong and a bottom is here or near but for the longest time we who hold these assets have seem lower and lower prices more than the other way around.
As a final remark my overall net value of cards is a personal low. I have more cards now than five years ago yet overall $ value appears to be lower now than in the past. This trend is not helping the game.
The promise of more meanwhile ending up with less is how I see it right now. Although I may have started out with zero it still took daily plays and continuous attention towards the game to accumulate the assets. That all takes time and energy. To see it being closer to zero everyday it makes me wonder am I now playing it just from the $ or here for more. I may need to stop checking card prices…

I feel this is just the season where card prices are dropping and I won’t be shocked if they rise again after a while

The value of my cards has dropped quite a bit as well. I wasn't expecting it to drop so much but I guess it really depends on new players joining. As it is right now, I don't think the recent updates have helped in that regards at all. It seems like onboarding and retention should be the focus.
It’s difficult to see even if we get more new players into the game. There has not much of updates since it’s beginning. I am hopeful but very bad feelings to how this plays out.
