Welcome, Splinter people! I am pleased to present yet another fiery battle you should study so you can get better at playing to earn!

Gladiators and new Soulbound rewards are all the rage as gladiator tournaments increase. They could be used in regular play through the new Soulbound summoners.

This time around, we fight a Gold foil Diamond league brawl match
Our opponent this round is @Taug from the guild Legendary Dragons.

Rules:

Ferocity (all monsters have the Fury ability) and Heavy Hitters (all monsters have the Knock Out ability).

We go with Fire and choose the almighty Yodin Zaku as our summoner.

Our team:

Chain Golem (Void, Stun, Piercing, and Shield), Fineas Rage (Oppress, Retaliate, and Reach), Elemental Phoenix (Flying, Reflect, Dodge, and Blast), Spark Pixies (Stun, Dodge, and Flying), Goblin Shaman (Slow, Weaken) and closing with Coeurl Lurker (Dodge, Phase and Taunt).

We go with a speedy Yodin team to maximize the damage we can deal before our opponent strikes.

Although we have an anti-taunt rule in Ferocity, Coeurl Lurker is very sneaky and will evade some critical hits. We also have a very fast stun via Spark Pixies, which, if procs, all the rest of our team deal double damage.

Let’s take a look at the opposing team.

Summoner: Valnamor (+1 Speed, +1 Magic, +1 Life). So, we are getting a heavy and fast magic team opposing us this time.

Valnamor is a great card all around. Hope our backyard Kitten holds up in the rear.

Opposing lineup:

The Kraken (Taunt, Demoralize, Enrage, and Retaliate), Prismatic Energy (Void and Magic Reflect), Isgald Vorst (Bloodlust, Opportunity), River Hellondale (Resurrect. Dispel and Inspire), Ruler of the Sea (Blast, Silence, and Swiftness) and closing with River Nymph (Swiftness, Cleanse, and Amplify).

Although the lovely setup here has to taunt The Kraken, it is a solid tank, very anti-melee oriented. With one resurrect and not-so-heavy magic damage on our team, it should soak a couple of hits.

We see a high-speed magic offensive here, with the gladiator looking to pick up some bloodlust kills to get out of control. Let’s take a look at the battle.

Let’s see how this brawl goes!

Round 1:

This round is a taunt massacre! The Kraken gets killed twice, and our taunt kitty gets killed by the opposing gladiator triggering the bloodlust. The enemy’s off-tank, the Prismatic Energy, brings to first place but is stunned by our golem before the round ends.

Round 2:

Another bloody game here! A lot of damage gets traded, and our Chain Golem and Fineas Rage go down due to all the combined magic damage.

Still, we manage to turn off the Prismatic energy and, thankfully, the gladiator before it gets out of control.

Round 3:

DPS matchup here! Both teams only have the damage dealers still alive.

Let's see how this bloodbath goes. We get first blood as we have a slight initiative advantage due to Spark Pixies' fast pace.

We also kill the Ruler of the Seas before it blasts at our team.

The magic reflects on the Phoenix, and the Goblin shaman does the cleanup duties signaling our Victory!

What a brutal brawl this one was! Lots of damage is coming and going around.

Both teams used taunts which disappeared in just one round.

Let's think of another strategy for when this ruleset comes around again.

We got a slight speed advantage, but our real advantage here was more durable monsters.

As soon as the opposing tank and off-tank died, the enemy DPS fell like a house of cards while we could take a little more punishment and still keep the damage output going.

Hello! @xawi I miss you!

It's just a background I got from Pixbay (I forgot to credit the image, sorry), and I pasted the monsters over.

Thanks for reading and commenting!
