Splinterlands | This Rebellion card is a nightmare to magic monsters

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands Players!

I hope all of you are enjoying the last days of the winter season with your family and friends. If you are a splinterlands player then I guess by now you must have claimed your season rewards and started battling again in this brand new ranked season. For me, as I said in my previous sl post, after taking some break from playing my own account I am back again in the bloody arena and started fighting again and enjoying every bit of it. I decided to take a break when the newly launched rebellion cards became usable in SL matches and at that time I didn't have even a single card with me but luckily, I have managed to get my hands on a handful of them and right now I own 18 max level rebellion cards. Sure it broke my savings very badly but also gave me relief as I can now again play competitively and win matches while playing in the top Champion league. There are still a lot of rebellion cards left to be added and I took an oath to add them one by one but the bloody new airdrop system has changed the market sentiment entirely and though 2 months have passed since the rebellion pre-sale, the card prices are not coming down like what we saw with the previous chaos legion edition. Salute to the splinterlands team for coming up with this new mechanism where the old procedural rule of only buying packs in official sale to get airdrop cards got completely revamped and now in order to get airdrop cards we have to actually hold our packs and cards. This new mechanism seems to be working really well as thousands of people are staking their packs and cards in wagons and this is causing huge demand for the rebellion cards on the market.

But anyways, in order to stay competitive one must have these new rebellion edition cards and realising that their prices are not coming down anytime soon, I also decide to start buying them for what they are selling for and prioritised my card list by the cards that I liked the most among the whole rebellion collection and also focusing on getting the legendary cards first because every single max level legendary rebellion card (level 4, 11 BCX) gives a freaking 5,775 contribution points which are way higher than common and rare max cards and also beat the epic max ones with good margin. Till now, I have been able to collect 9 legendary Rebellion cards out of a total of 15. In today’s post, I will be talking about one of them with you all, so without causing any further delay, let's begin.

As you have already seen in the thumbnail, today we will be shedding light on one of the most shouted legendary rebel card NALARA GEINEK. Apart from the 2 promo cards Smith and Mantaroth, this card is my favourite right now because of its stats and abilities at max level which gives an upper hand in large mana limit matches, especially if you know your opponent will be using magic cards against you.

NALARA GEINEK

Nalara Geinek is a legendary type rebellion edition card that needs a total of 11 BCX to get upgraded to max level and currently, the lowest BCX of this card available on the market is listed for 9.99$. This monster tales 9 mana to be used in battles and its attack type is magic. But its main feature is not its attack, but rather its other defensive stats and abilities which makes it super useful in big mana matches. Let us now take a further look at its stats level-wise at below.

LEAGUE WISE STATS & ABILITES

Bronze

When at level 1, this card possesses 1 magic attack at 3 speed with 3 armour and 9 health along with the Amplify ability that it gets since its initial level. The amplify ability will increase the damage you deal to your opponent’s cards through Magic Reflect, Thorns and Return Fire by 1 but however keep in mind, this ability doesn't stack which means using multiple monsters with amplify ability wont increase the damage more than 1.

Silver

When you upgrade this monster to level 2, it gets 1 magic attack at 3 speed with 4 armour and 9 health and also gets a new ability Silence. Now though this card's stat remains almost the same at level and only increases 1 armour and nothing else, its Silence ability alone changes the game because now you can reduce your enemy magic cards’s attack power by 1 even when playing at Silver League with this card.

Gold

As this card goes to its next evolution to level 3, it increases its armour a bit more and possesses 1 magic attack at 3 speed with 5 armour and the same 9 health. But at level 3 it gets another new ability Void, which will take reduce damage from enemy magic attacks by 50%. As you can see clearly, this card becomes a good anti-magic card in the Gold league and has the ability to give a hard time to your opponent’s magic cards.

Diamond / Champion

When you finally upgrade this monster to its max level 4, it holds the same 1 magic attack at 3 speed with 5 armour but with an increased 10 health and also gets another new ability Stun. With this new ability, now this monster has a 50% chance upon every attack to apply stun upon the target enemy card and if applied, the enemy card will skip its next turn.

BATTLE PERFORMANCE

Here is a battle that I want to showcase where I used this monster an scored an awesome win so that you can realise its true potential. It was a high 51 mana limit match with every element apart from Earth available to choose and there were 3 match rulesets - Born Again (all monsters have the Rebirth ability), Up to Eleven (All monsters will have the Amplify ability) and Wands Out (Only monsters with magic attack may be used in this battle).

Battle Link

In this match, I chose the legendary Dragon summoner Lily Shieldpaw and at the front position of my lineup, I chose the Void Dragon, followed by Constantia, Nalara, Soothsayer, Chaos Dragon and River Nymph at my end position. As the battle lineups revealed, I found out that my opponent has relied on the legendary Life summoner Grandmaster Rather and his lineup was very strong as well. However as the match continued, my Nalara couldn't do much with its weak 1 magic attack, but at least it reduced 5 enemy monster’s magic attacks by 1 which really helped me to weaken his overall attack power. It also Stunned the enemy Iziar at the 3rd and 7th round and saved me from multiple attacks while my Void Dragon did an amazing job defending the front line and my Chaos Dragon killed down the enemy cards with its high-powered magic scattershot attacks. As the match came with the Born Again ruleset, every monster died and got revived again which made the match lengthy but gladly, I won the match at last.

I hope you liked reading my post and also found this new Rebellion monster interesting and helpful. Let me know your views and thoughts about this monster in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post!
