Splinterlands | SWAMP SPITTER is a true Giant Killer

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands Players!

I hope all of you are enjoying the day with your family and friends and also playing this amazing NFT game in your daily free time and earning crypto rewards. The last ranked season in this game just ended recently and I guess that by now, all of you have claimed your Glint token rewards and are now preparing for this ongoing fresh new season and battling to climb up the trophy ladder to reach your goal before the season ends. Well, I am also doing the same and in the last season, Though I was able to reach my goal league of Champion, in the last 2 days I got killed brutally back to back and somehow ended the season while in Diamond I tier. So this season, I am thinking of playing more seriously and renting some cards that I am missing if they increase my performance.

On the other hand, today I am going to put in another SPS rent order as the price has decreased a bit and see if my order gets filled at a low price, as with more rented SPS in my account, I can win more SPS and Glint rewards per ranked match win just like what I did in the previous season. Now, talking about the Conflict Rebellion airdrop, only around 19 days remaining for the next Rebellion airdrop to get distributed and this time, another amazing summoner card named CRYPTIC will be given out to Rebellion packs and Card stakers. For me, as usual, I am staking my whole rebellion card collection in the Conflict wagons and earning almost 130k Contribution points per hour and till now, I have collected 330 chances for this upcoming card. However, to get 1 guaranteed card from this upcoming airdrop, you need at least 325 chances so by far, I have got 1 guaranteed card and by the time the timer resets for this one, hopefully, I will get another one.

Now, let us come to the main topic as today, I will be talking about an amazing Ranged card which I often use in my lineups whenever I need to repair armours or want to kill giant Monsters with more attack power. As you have already have seen him in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about SWAMP SPITTER. So without any further ado, let us jump right in.

SWAMP SPITTER

SWAMP SPITTER comes under the Chaos edition monsters and this card belongs to the Water element and is a reward type card. It costs 7 mana to be used in battles and its attack type is Ranged. It is a common type of card so you will need a total of 400 BCX cards to upgrade this card to max level. Now, let us look further into this card to find out its league wise stats and abilities below.

BRONZE

At level 3, this card possesses 2 ranged attack at 2 speed with 2 armour and 5 health and it also gets the Repair ability since its initial level. With the help of the Repair ability, it can repair a portion of broken armour on any friendly monster including itself. So this ability is very helpful when you are battling against melee and range attacks and protecting yourself with shielded monsters.

SILVER

When you upgrade this monster to level 5, it’s stats get increased further to 3 Ranged attack at 3 speed with 2 armour and 5 health. However, it does not get any new ability at this level, though the increased attack will now help you to kill down enemy cards faster.

GOLD

When this card gets upgraded to level 8, it then receives 3 ranged attack at 4 speed with 2 armour and 6 health and it also gets a new ability from level 6 called Giant Killer. With this new ability now this card will do 2x damage to the enemy cards that cost 10 or higher mana.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this card to its max level of 10, it gets 4 ranged attack at 4 speed with 3 armour and 6 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above but it does not get any new ability even at its max level. But I think that won't bother you cause it is already a beast card with strong stats and 2 amazing abilities.

BATTLE STAT

Well, I was looking for a medium to high mana range battle to test out my Swamp Spitter and after playing for a while, I finally found a suitable one. It was a high 56 mana limit battle with 4 elements i.e., Fire, Water, Earth and Life. There were 2 match rulesets - All Resurrection and No Magic monsters, so it was an ideal match to be relied upon by Melee and Ranged monsters. In this match, I decided to choose the Water legendary summoner Possibilus the Wise and filled my first 2 places with giant melee monsters MantaRoth and Coastal Sentry and besides them, I placed Kulu Mastermind followed by Runi, Deeplurker and Swamp Spitter at the end position.

When both the lineups got revealed, I found out that my opponent had also used the same Possibilus the Wise summoner and at this front position, he selected Arkemis the Bear followed by Coastal Sentry, Venka The Vile, Deeplurker, Kulu Mastermind and Meerdali Guardian at his end position. Both of our basic strategies are quite the same - rely on melee front and opportunity attacks mainly and now let’s see who wins in this match.

MATCH PERFORMANCE

As the match started, during the first round I attacked the enemy bear heavily and was successful in killing it down but sadly, my Mantaroth and Runi also got wounded in the process and of course, the bear also got resurrected. But I killed it again in the second round thanks to my Sentry who then launched trample attacks and wounded the enemy Sentry as well. My Swamp did a good job here by repairing the broken armour onMantaroth and then attacked and killed down the sentry with 2x damage because it costs 10 mana. The sentry was resurrected m. My Mantaroth also got heavily wounded in this round but still stayed alive somehow. Finally, my Runi attacked and took down the wounded enemy sentry and trample attacked the next one in line, the Venka.

At round 3, my Mantaroth died for the first time and got resurrected but then, my Sentry got angry and killed down the Venka and then wounded the Deeplurker, however, the Venka got resurrected again but died instantly with the next blasts from my Sentry. My Swamp Spitter again did a good job by repairing the armour on my Sentry and then I killed down the enemy Deeplurker with the help of my Kulu and wounded the Enemy Kulu as well. Right now, Only 2 monsters were alive in the enemy lineup - the Kulu Mastermind and Meerdali Guardian and I took care of both of them easily afterwards and won the match finally. It was really an amazing and thrilling match and I enjoyed every bit of it.
