Splinterlands | I reached total 150k staked SPS today!

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are enjoying a spectacular weekend with your family and friends and also enjoying this amazing game in the meantime! Well, the current scenario in splinterlands is so celebrating and chaotic, because its main token SPS aka Splintershards is pumping very hard right now and already touched 0.026$ per unit and is holding its position strongly in that position. We have been surviving the bear season for a long time and like most of the crypto coins and projects, Splinterlands and its token SPS were also badly affected. For a long time SPS has been trading around its all-time low value range of 0.014 - 0.016$ and it was hard for many people to stick by their belief that good times will come again. But only those who kept their hands strong and held their assets and tokens are the ones who are feeling happiest right now and gladly, I am also one of them.

This sudden growth in the price of SPS only happened within the last 2 weeks and is probably because of 2 big things that happened back to back, The first was the Land 1.5 update and the second was the launch of another new Rebellion card-set into the game. No need to say that both of these bug updates received huge success as we already saw the phenomenal response in the pre-sale of Rebellion where almost all the 500k Rebellion booster packs got sold out and on the other hand, the Land update took away a large amount of total DEC circulation out from market to be invested and staked in Lands by users and also a lot of circulating cards, especially older edition cards like aloha, beta and gold foil cards gone out as well to be staked in lands. This sudden and huge demand pressure for DEC has helped it greatly to achieve its pegged price back just like magic and as you can see, DEC is right now being traded in Hive-Engine for 0.96$ per 1k and the card market is also lacking an older edition and gold Foil cards. As a chain effect, it is also affecting the SPS price because I think many people are burning their SPS for DEC to invest in Lands and also buying SPS to earn more from the battles as well. Overall, it is a happy pumping season going on in the world of splinterlands and I am also feeling very happy and joyful right now to see my assets and token stash value getting appreciated.

As an old player, I have also collecting and staking SPS for a long time now. My SPS accumulation journey started with the launch of the token almost 2 years ago. SPS token was being airdropped to the gamers and investors of splinterlands and based upon their cards and dec holdings and some other things like champion points etc. The SPS airdrop used to be distributed on a daily basis to the users and it lasted for exactly 1 year. But during that time SPS didn't have any direct usability, so over time it started losing value. When the global crypto market went into the bear season it affected the price even more but the team was always working in the back to make this toke valuable and in order to achieve it, they have tried many different things over time. But the most effective one among them was to introduce the staked SPS based ranked earning system where upon winning a ranked match in any league, the amount of SPS rewards will be directly proportional to the total amount of staked SPS that the user has in his in-game wallet and the more staked SPS he has, the more he will win from rewards. This encouraged players very positively to stake all their rewards and even buy more SPS from the market to increase their daily SPS earnings from both playing ranked matches and from the staked SPS rewards.

As I was already used to staking all my SPS earnings back into my in-game staked wallet, I made a decent amount of SPS over time and when this update got introduced and applied in the game, not only it helped me greatly to increase my earnings, but the price appreciation also increase my overall in-game asset value by a large margin. However, I am not selling my SPS stack just because of a decent price appreciation because I a have long term with the game and also believe that the price of SPS will go a long way from here over time. Also, I am getting a good amount of SPS earning just from playing ranked daily, just because I have a decent chunk of staked SPS so I won't simply ruin that by powering down and selling my SPS right now.

With that said, let me share an achievement with you all as today, I have reached another great milestone with my SPS stake as have reached a total of 150k staked SPS today and I am feeling very happy and proud of this achievement. I have a goal regarding SPS for a long time that I will at least make a stake of 200k SPS and today, gladly I have reached 3/4th of my goal and only another 50k SPS I need right now to reach my ultimate goal.

We are in good times for those who accumulate SPS. I invested mostly in cards. I hope card prices will also increase over time.

Most of my assets in splinterlands are in form of cards as well, thou old wild edition cards got a boost for land update, modern format cards are yet to be appreciated.
