Splinterlands | Rebellion cards are about to change the gameplay entirely

What’s up my fellow splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your lives and also enjoying the game in the meantime. Well, if you are a daily player like me, I guess you are all focused right now on your gameplay and trying to accumulate as many reward chests as possible for both season and focus. As only less than 5 days left for this ongoing ranked season to end, we do not have much time left in our hands and the quicker we reach our goals, the better. As for my goal, I will be trying to snatch a position in the Champion league leaderboard as usual but in the last season, my performance was not that good and even after grinding a lot for 3 - 4 days in the ranked battlefield and spending a lot of money after renting, I was only able in the end to get me a place in the top 25 somehow, so this time I will be more serious about my playing and try harder if I can get to the top 10. It is certainly not an easy task because I will be fighting against the top most players in this game and on top of that while fighting at the top tier, one ranked win only gets you 3 or 4 trophies but 1 loss and you may lose even 33 trophies and can even go out of the leaderboard. So, even a single loss while aiming for the lb can cost us badly and that's why putting your best effort is the only key here.

Season Progress

Moving on and taking a glance at my current season performance, so far I have been able to collect only 57 season chests and the number is a bit lower than usual. Every season I try to collect at least 85 to 90 season reward chests but it looks like I can not meet the same in this season as only 5 days left for the season to meet its end. However, getting good rewards out of those chests are based in lucks & chances and even if I get 5 or 10 less no of total season chests, the outcome can also be much better. Now looking at my daily rewards, today I got the AILMENTS rule as my focus mission and stopped playing for the day after I collected a total of 10 focus reward chests. Now, normally I try to accumulate at least around 10 focus chests everyday, but 2 days ago, I went wild with the rank playing and did a bit overplay which took down my energy bar below 20. Now in order to balance it back into a healthy position, I decide to play a bit less yesterday and stopped playing after collecting only 6 and gladly today my energy rate is back in healthy position so I again played like normal days and collected 10 again before stopping for the day. Please remember that along with all the other important things, maintaining a good energy rate is also important in this game or we have to either skip playing for a fay or buy recharges using DEC, which is very costly in Champion league as buying each energy here costs a whooping 500 dec. I personally think that investment wise, generally buying energies to play is a bad move if you are playing in high tier, especially Champion and until you get something from rewards, most of times we will face loss.

Rebellion

Now, let’s talk about Rebellion as it is currently the talk of the town among the splinterlands community and beyond. The Rebellion is the upcoming series of cards that will be introduced into the game and the pack pre-sale just ended some days ago. While the general sale for Rebellion packs is set to start after 9 days and 22 hours, the splinterlands team is already building the hype by publishing sneak peek posts about the upcoming Rebellion cards along with all the details about their stats and abilities and players seem to love them as I acknowledge in their discord or posts in hive. I also reviewed all of those cards that were revealed recently in their official posts and I want to say a lot of changes are coming into this game with this upcoming rebellion card-set which is about the change the gameplay mechanics soon. There are a bunch of new things that are about to get added into the game, such as -

Dual element Summoners

An entirely new type of summoner is joining the great war soon into the game and what's special about them is that they can be used to summon cards from 2 different elements in a single match. Imagine using the famous healers from the Earth elements while coupling them with the furious attackers from the water realm, how cool that can be! The team already shared one of such summoners in one of their Rebellion sneak peek posts named Zeddica. As you can see from above, Zeddica is a dual-element summoner that supports both the Water and Death element and while using this summoner in battle, we may use monsters from both elements in the same battle. What is more interesting is that using this summoner in battles will only cost you 3 mana but however, this summoner does not carry any buffs or debuffs. But, for a 3 mana cost what it is offering is already too good and surely this summoner will gain publicity quickly after rebellion cards can be used in battles.

Ability choice

Another groundbreaking mechanism that is about to get introduced in splinterlands gameplay is the ability choice and with this - after both the teams get revealed in the match, we have to choose which ability the summoner should apply. This new and unique mechanism certainly will make playing the game even more interactive because till now, we have done nothing after submitting our lineups. One such summoner that will have this special ability is Prophet Rosa. It comes with a dual ability - + 2 range attack or shield ability, now which one will you choose?
