Crypto and Splinterlands market price watch | Preparing for the Node licence sale

What’s up my fellow splinterlands Warriors!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and also enjoying this awesome game in meantime. It’s been only 2 days since the last splinterlands season end day and I hope all all of you have already claimed and collected their season quest rewards. This time, I couldn’t play for the leaderboard as I had to go to the city for some work. So before the season end, I increased my tier from Diamond I to Champ III. I just came back today and started playing again from Diamond III. Today, the dec payout per match was quite high and as I started playing, I was getting 50-55 DEC per ranked match win. I played for a while and successfully reached Diamond II already.

Now, let us take the quick peak now of the current crypto market. The main dominator BTC has lost it’s stronghold near 43k$ and is currently being traded for 40,226.59$ per unit with a -6.78% price decrease in last 7 days. The second largest coin ETH is also following the BTC trail as it also lost some value and with a -7.46% price decrease in last 7 days, it is now being sold for 3,042.63$ per unit.

Hive also lost it’s value over 1$ recently, but doing well between 0.9-1$ range with a current price of 0.9101$ per unit as it decreased 4.51% in last 7 days. The recent update of 20% apr interest on HBD has started to gain attraction from inside and beyond hive and thus after touching it’s recent low pf 0.84$ per unit on 12th April, it has moved up above 0.9$ price mark.

Now, let us take a quick look at the current prices of splinterlands tokens. The main in-game token DEC seems to have increased little bit of value since the splinterlands team released the post recently about SPS validator node and with a +1.50% price change in last 7 days, it is currently being sold at 0.00164$.

In the other hand, SPS aka Splintershards is currently being sold for 0.1277$ per unit with a whooping +17.44% price increase in last 7 days. Since, it’s one of the 2 tokens that will be needed to buy the validator node license in pre sale and tranches later on, people are gathering their SPS and also a good buying pressure has been maintained in the market.

But the major growth is seen in the Vouchers price since the validator node announcement post and with a massive 2x growth approx, it is currently being sold for 2.114$ per unit from it’s 1$ stable price in last 7 days. As it will need 500 vouchers and 1000$ worth of SPS in order to buy each SPS validator node, many people started buying them from hive-engine and thus vouchers got a FOMO working on it. As there is a shortage of vouchers supply currently in the market, the price has already been doubled. I think the price of vouchers may grow higher from here as well, cause many people have a decent stake of SPS that they made from staking the airdrop alone but for vouchers, most of us are dependent on market.

I have also started buying Vouchers since the validator node release post and have accumulated around 100 vouchers still now. At first, I was planning to buy multiple validator node licences but right now, looking at the FOMO market, I think I should go for only 1 or I will end up eating my SPS stake after node 😅.

I also have high hopes with the new 20% apr interest on HBD savings and thought to start making a good HBD savings fund over time but them the node validator got announced. Even now, when I was roaming around hive, another new big pool of pHBD - USDC caught my eyes which got launched recently in polycub dex and giving around 55% apr interest in the pool. This is way higher than the 20% on HBD savings and I have read some of my fellow hiver’s posts who are highly motivated to invest into this stable pool. But as for me, I will limit my thinking inly towards the node licence purchase and will not stop until I get one.
