NEWBIES INITIATIVE TASK 9 •//• NEWBIE-NEST

This is another week on the newbie initiative and I'm glad to have learned a lot from this initiative. The initiative is coming to an end and I can’t wait to introduce more people to the next session. For this week’s task, we were to come up with an idea or project that can help the blockchain

If this blockchain is going to grow then we all need to contribute to it. We are not just here to gain from this blockchain but we also want to make an impact on this blockchain. For this task, we were asked to team up with each other, and a team should contain three people.

My team consists of @lizizoo @aunty-tosin @eunice9200. These three people came together put their heads together and came up with a beautiful idea that can help the blockchain grow.

This project is going to be focused on newbies and how to help them grow and feel confident on Hive. In this post, I will be sharing what the project is about and how it is going to be beneficial to the blockchain.

WHAT THE PROJECT IS ABOUT.

As I have said, this project is about how to make this blockchain grow, it is about contributing to the blockchain. In response to contributing to the blockchain, we are bringing this program to encourage newbies, show love to the newbies, and carry them along with the flow of the blockchain.

BENEFIT OF THE PROJECT.

There are quite a lot of benefits from this project.

There are a lot of people who came to Hive but within months or even days, they are nowhere to be found. Some of them made efforts to make a few posts, while some made quite a lot but they wouldn’t stick around mostly because they wouldn’t flow with the flow of the blockchain.

Now, do not be afraid, oh ye, newbies because this project is to carry you along and encourage you to continue, to point out any mistakes and put you through in a humble manner. We are here to make friends with you and help you grow.

Most newbies don’t feel comfortable on hive and with time they tend to leave and people barely notice them deviating, which is not so fair. So this project is here to make you know that you are not alone in this journey.

HOW ARE WE GOING TO ACHIEVE THIS

There are some things that we considered that would be helpful for this project

• MAKING FRIENDS WITH NEWBIES

Most of the newbies here, find it difficult to fit in the blockchain, for some of them, their on-boarder has left them to meander through hive and some of them mostly feel lonely. Most of these people don’t stay long on the blockchain.

This project will hunt for newbies and make friends with them, by searching for them either through tags or randomly, and make friends on a personal level with them. We want to be someone they can fall back on and call on any time they need someone.

We want to encourage them and let them know that they are not alone and they have a friend through the rough beginning.

In this, we can help them meet other hivians. When some newbies join some discord channels, they find it hard to get along but when they have friends like us they can easily blend in.

• ENCOURAGING THEM THROUGH GIFTING.

We, humans, are often attracted to something when we can see people who are appreciating us. So, we came up with an idea of appreciation for newbies who joined the blockchain.

• Gifting any newbie found 1 hive: Now, this is a little token to appreciate the newbies and show them, love.

• Also, we would be delegating a little HP to them: This might not be to everyone at a time but it is going to be segmented to some certain amount of people for a certain amount of time. Then after the first batch, we will also give it to the second batch.. Do you get the idea? I’m sure you do

• In the same way that we delegated HP, we would also be delegating RC, there many newbies who are lacking this.

• FOLLOWING UP WITH THE NEWBIES

Although we are making friends with the newbies, but we will also be following their steps and growth on hive. This is an encouragement to newbies because they know some people are rooting for them.

Most of the newbies on hive are not on the newbies initiative and they don’t have sufficient knowledge. We are here to guide the newbies, correct any mistakes we can find, and also introduce them to the newbie initiative.

We are here to be their audience, follow their posts, comment, and upvote on them. Also, reblog if needed.

• CREATING A DISCORD CHANNEL

This channel will be for newbies to come together, most newbies feel inferior when they look at other big people on hive and they can hardly communicate with them, but this will focus on newbies.

Newbies can become friends with each other freely, they can grow together and have fun together. It is going to be an ongoing channel for newbies, an open friendship.
