Thank you for 2023.

Year 2023 was a great year for me. I moved from negative balance to positive. I started 2023 with carryover of debts from 2022. With the support of my family, I was able to overcome it and pay up everything. This is an important achievement to me because it gives me the confidence to approach other developmental projects in this year 2024.

It is in this regard that I wish to register my profound gratitude to my wife and and son who in many instances, have had to make some sacrifices, to make things work. My family is my number one fan and supporter. I will also want to appreciate my mother who never gets tired of showing me love and praying for me. She prays for me more than I pray for myself. She contributed to my winnings in 2023.

Moving away from family, I wish to appreciate a colleague who selflessly helped me to diversify my income. I was relatively new in the organization. When I saw that many of my colleagues were farming, taking advantage of the vast land in the organization, I developed interest in following suit. The challenge was that the land at close proximity to my department had been shared by my colleagues prior to my arrival.

Immediately I made my intention to own a farm known to my colleagues, Lami Yakubu, an older colleague, offered me part of her portion of the land immediately. She took me to the land the following day to show me the demarcation.

I farmed the land and the result was amazing. It contributed largely to the financial stability of my home presently. Talking about 2023, I owe her gratitude for rendering such a progressive assistance to me.

2023 was made great for me by the generality of Hive Blockchain. Some communities have contributed to my growth in no small measure. A few days ago, I watched a recap of my 2022 hive activities and I realized that the support that I got from the curation account of Hive Learners community is the greatest support that I got from an individual account. I owe the community a gratitude for such a support.

Another community that inspired my growth in 2023 is @theinkwell community. Each week that I participated in their prompt writing contests, it gave me the opportunity to grow. I lack words to appreciate them enough.

On a personal note, I have people on hive that have been instrumental to my growth. My wife is my onboarder and she has been supportive since day one when I joined hive. She never got tired of answering my questions when I am confused about anything.

Another kind-hearted person that I met on hive is @jjmusa2004, a medical doctor per excellence. Hive connected us but the connection has become that of friends and brothers. We share ideas for our mutual growth. I appreciate him for the awesome experience of 2023 and I hope that this year will be better in all ramifications.

The year in retrospect is a great one for me and I hope to build on it and make this year great. I wish to conclude this piece by appreciating those that will make 2024 awesome in advance.
