In the game of Dcrops there are seasons that last 15 days and three days ago the hottest season, summer, arrived.
Dcrops is a game that takes very little time to play: 4-5 interventions of a few minutes in 15 days.
I write a report for all blockchain based games I play/invest in and with the end of the spring season, it's time to publish my end of season report to evaluate my investment and gaming activity on Dcrops.
Before publishing my report on Dcrops I want to show the most affordable cards to buy in the summer season so as to add utility to this post of mine and so as to help those who want to start playing/investing on Dcrops but don't know how to do it or where to start.

The best cards to buy (March 14, 2022)

Dcrops is a farming game very easy to play because, in addition to requiring little time to be played, it has from the numerical point of view few game assets to choose from and invest in:

• NFT (Land and Seed)
• packs of cards
• CROP tokens.

To start playing on Dcrops you need to buy a minimum combination of two NFTs:

• 1 LAND card
• 1 SEED card

NFTs of type LAND and NFTs of type SEED have different playing characteristics:

• LAND cards can be used continuously, in every season of the game.
• the SEED cards can be used only in a specific season, they are permanent assets because they are not destroyed after use but their use is cyclic but discontinuous because they can be used once every 45 days.
  Exceptions are only legendary cards that can be used several times during a specific single season and the epic card Tomato that is the only non-legendary card that has the same ability as legendary cards.

But now let's see together and right away what is the best Land card to buy today March 14, 2022.

LAND cards: The best purchase

There are four types of LAND cards in the game of Dcrops (image below).

A SEED card needs one plot to be used, and LAND cards have a number of plots that increases based on the rarity of the card (min.1 - max 4):

• Average Farmland (Common type card): 1 plot = 1 usable seed card
• Fertile Land (rare card): 2 plots = 2 usable seed cards at the same time
• Awesome Land (Epic card type): 3 plots = 3 seed cards that can be used at the same time
• Hi-Tec Land (Legendary type card): 4 plots = 4 seed cards usable at the same time

Those who read my posts know that I like to make calculations and choose the best Land card to buy is an extremely easy operation because it is sufficient to calculate the Cost per Plot for each Land card on the market and the lowest cost per Plot will indicate the best possible purchase today.

In the following table I have calculated the cost per Plot for each Land card.

The LAND card that has the lowest cost per plot is the Fertile Land card which is therefore the best card to buy today March 14, 2022.
In fact, the Fertile Land card has a cost per plot of 1.55 SWAP.HIVE when purchased using SWAP.HIVE tokens as a payment method.
Choosing whether to purchase the same card using CROP tokens as a payment method is a decidedly poor choice because the cost increases by +0.68 SWAP.HIVE.

On the Dcrops marketplace, at the time I am writing this post, there are 5 Fertile Land cards for sale for 3.1 SWAP.HIVE and the seller is the player @keszhia.

It was on February 25, 2022, 16 days ago, when I checked the market values of LAND cards from Dcrops.

In the following two tables you can see the difference in the market prices of the LAND cards I recorded on the dates:

• February 25, 2022
• March 14th 2022

Compared to 16 days ago (February 25, 2022) except for the market price of the legendary card Hi-Tech Land which has decreased by -15.56% all other Land cards have higher market prices and the increase in value is over 26%.
The most significant increase came from the very best buy I identified earlier in this post and that is the Fertile Land rare card: +29.17%.

SEED cards: The best buy for the summer season

There are a total of five SEED cards that can be used during the spring season:

• Wheat card (common type)
• Turnip card (common type)
• Watermelon card (rare type)
• Tomato card (epic type)
• Blueberry card (legendary type)

The summer season is the only season in which you can plant two seeds that do not have a Cooldown period and therefore can be used several times during the season.
In fact, the legendary card Blueberry and the epic card Tomato do not have a Cooldown period while the remaining three seed cards (Wheat, Turnip and Watermelon) can only be used once during the summer season.

NFTs of SEED type allow to obtain agricultural products (Crop) that can be sold in exchange for SHARES points.
SHARES points are important because on Dcrops there is a fortnightly ranking (Leaderboard) which is reset at the beginning of each season and which has a Reward Pool consisting of a quantity of CROP tokens which is divided among the players according to the quantity of SHARES points they have obtained during the season to which the ranking refers.

For this reason, when choosing which SEED cards to buy, SHARES points play an important role.

Calculating the SHARES Points/HIVE ratio for each SEED card on sale in the market allows you to identify the best SEED card to purchase.

In fact the ratio SHARES Points/HIVE indicates the minimum number of SHARES points obtainable for each HIVE token spent in the purchase of a SEED card.

Calculating the value of each SEED card's SHARES POINTS/HIVE ratio is easy:

Total SHARES POINTS obtainable from the SEED card in a season / SEED card purchase cost (in HIVE).

In the following table you can see the list of SEED cards that can be used in the current season with the corresponding value of the SHARES Points/HIVE ratio for each SEED card on sale in the market.

The best card to buy today, March 14, is the Watermelon card, a rare type card that has a SHARES/HIVE point ratio of 68.57 points.

In all my previous end of season reports legendary cards have always been the worst possible buy based on SHARES Points/HIVE ratio because their cost has always been too high.

In the future dynamics the legendary cards will probably have more usefulness but at the moment it is not so and for this reason starting from the current season I will start to sell the double legendary cards that I have in my card collection.

In the table below you can see the difference in the market price of SEED cards that I have recorded in the days:

• February 25, 2022
• March 14th 2022

Evaluation of my investment on Dcrops

To evaluate my investment on Dcrops I need to consider:

• the total cost of my investment
• the total value of the assets of the game in my possession.

I started playing and investing on Dcrops in late May 2021 and have invested a total of 156.57 HIVE to date.

With 156.57 HIVE I have purchased individual cards from the market and have purchased a total of 34 packs of Alpha cards.

I only opened 14 packs of Alpha cards while I decided not to open 20 packs of cards to increase my CROP POWER score by 40000 points (20 packs X 2000 CROP POWER).

On the Dcrops site it is no longer possible to buy the Alpha card packs because they have all been sold and long ago, but it is still possible to buy them on markets outside the game such as Hive Engine or TribalDex.

Today March 14, 2022 a pack of Alpha cards can be purchased as a DCALPHA token.

The value of 1 DCALPHA token is:

• 7.49 SWAP.HIVE = $6.3060033 (Lowest Ask).
• 5.76 SWAP.HIVE = 4.8494765$** (Highest BID)

My 20 packs of Alpha cards therefore have a total value of 115.2 SWAP.HIVE.

I have a card collection consisting of 193 cards (NFT):

• 18 LAND cards.
• 175 SEED cards

Every 15-16 days I check the value of the NFT in my possession and in the following table you can see:

• the market price of each NFT of Dcrops updated to today March 14, 2022
• the value of my collection of cards (the lowest selling price on the market X the number of cards in my possession).

In 16 days the market value of my card collection has increased even if only slightly and is now 278.19 SWAP.HIVE = 233.12$.

The moment I checked the market value of Dcrops NFTs I found the same dollar value for HIVE tokens and because of that the dollar value of my card collection also increased: + 3.45$.

The CROP tokens are the native tokens of Dcrops, they are also second level tokens of the Hive blockchain and are the reward that Dcrops players get every end of season for their game activity.

Today, March 14, 2022 1 CROP token has a value of:

• 0.002868 SWAP.HIVE = $0.002410 (Lowest Ask).
• 0.002633 SWAP.HIVE = 0.002212$ (Highest BID)

So far I have accumulated a total of 7802,484 CROP tokens (in-game wallet) whose value is 20.54 HIVE.

If I add to the values I calculated above the value of the game rewards I got from the Holding Rewards ranking, I get the total value of the assets I own.

The Holding Rewards ranking is the mechanism with which Dcrops rewards the owners of the assets of the game and therefore is a reward mechanism unrelated to the active operations of the game (the harvest operations).
To receive a daily reward in Hive from the Holding Rewards ranking you must have a CROP POWER score >= 20000 points.

I have a CROP POWER score of 47503.05 points.

From the Holding Rewards leaderboard I have scored a total of 17.82 HIVE so far.

Profit, Roi and Considerations

I now have all the data available, total cost of investment and total value of assets in my possession and I can, to calculate the financial results of my investment on Dcrops updated to today's date (March 14, 2022).

Total investment cost: 156.57 HIVE:
Total value of my card collection: 278.19 SWAP.HIVE (estimated market value).
Total value 20 packs of Alpha cards in my possession: 115.20 SWAP.HIVE.
Total value of rewards received from Holding Rewards ranking: 17.82 HIVE
Value of CROP tokens in my possession: 20.54 SWAP.HIVE.

From the end of May 2021 to today it's been about 9 and a half months and the profit I made is 275.18 HIVE = 230.60$.

A profit of 275.18 HIVE tokens yields an ROI of +175.76% (previous report +169.59%)

Final Considerations

I am satisfied with my investment in Dcrops because I have obtained a very good ROI (+175.76%) in 9 and a half months of investment and also because the time commitment I spent to obtain it was very minimal: about 8-10 connections to the Dcrops site per month.

Of the 275.18 HIVE of profit, only 38.36 HIVE comes from in-game rewards while the remainder comes from the value appreciation of NFTs and Alpha card packs.

This means that Dcrops is an investment that should be considered in the medium to long term because the value of the rewards that can be obtained is not very high at the moment.

The choice to get into the game starting from the second absolute season of Dcrops was a winning choice and my profit comes mostly from this choice.

Dcrops is a game that has potential because:

• it's easy to play
• it requires little time to play
• it has a theme, nature and agriculture, that most people generally like.

The only risk factor I see that needs to be considered before investing in Dcrops is that development and management of the game is in the hands of one person.
The developer is doing a great job but not having a structured team to take care of the various aspects of the game (development, promotion, support, ...) is in my opinion anyway a risk factor to be considered and that I feel obliged to point out for the respect of my readers.

Leaving aside my personal considerations and reflections, the development and improvement of the game continues and I am happy about that.
The last novelty introduced during the spring season was the introduction of the SWAP section within the game site that allows to convert HIVE tokens into SWAP.HIVE tokens.

This feature is very useful because it allows players who are not very practical in the operations of buying and selling tokens on Hive Engine and TribalDex to make the conversion of HIVE tokens in SWAP.HIVE and vice versa in a simple and fast way and with a fee of 0.25% which is much lower than Hive Engine and TribalDex (0.75%) and is on the same line of BeeSwap and LeoDex.

Obviously the SWAP operation will be possible if there is enough liquidity at the time of the conversion request.

I conclude this post of mine on Dcrops with the sharing of the table of market prices of NFTs of Dcrops with the variation of value recorded in the last 16 days hoping that it can be useful to those who intend to invest in the game and that it gives a further element of evaluation of the game.

Nel gioco di Dcrops le stagioni hanno una durata di 15 giorni e ieri 13 marzo 2022 è arrivata la stagione più calda, l'estate.
Dcrops è un gioco che richiede poco tempo per essere giocato: 3-4 interventi di pochi minuti in 15 giorni.
Scrivo un report per tutti i giochi basati su blockchain a cui gioco/investo e con la fine della stagione primaverile è arrivato il momento di pubblicare il mio report di fine stagione per valutare il mio investimento e la mia attività di gioco su Dcrops.

Le migliori carte da acquistare (14 marzo 2022)

Dcrops è un gioco di farming molto semplice da giocare perchè, oltre a richiedere poco tempo per essere giocato, ha dal punto di vista numerico pochi assets di gioco tra cui scegliere e su cui investire:

• NFT (Land e Seed)
• pacchi di carte
• token CROP.

Per iniziare a giocare su Dcrops è necessario investire per acquistare una combinazione minima di due NFT:

• 1 carta LAND
• 1 carta SEED

Gli NFT di tipo LAND e gli NFT di tipo SEED hanno caratteristiche di gioco differenti:

• le carte LAND possono essere utilizzate di continuo, in ogni stagione del gioco.
• le carte SEED possono essere utilizzate solo in una precisa stagione, sono assets duraturi perchè non vengono distrutti dopo l'utilizzo ma il loro utilizzo è ciclico ma discontinuo perchè possono essere utilizzate una volta ogni 45 giorni.
  Fanno eccezione solo le carte leggendarie che possono essere utilizzate più volte durante una stagione e la carta epica Tomato che è l'unica carta non leggendaria che ha la stessa abilità delle carte leggendarie.

Ma adesso vediamo insieme e subito qual'è la migliore carta Land da acquistare oggi 14 marzo 2022.

Carte LAND: Il miglior acquisto

Nel gioco di Dcrops ci sono quattro tipi di carte LAND (immagine seguente).

Una carta SEED ha bisogno di un terreno per essere utilizzata e le carte LAND hanno un numero di terreni che aumenta in base alla rarità della carta (min.1 - max 4):

• Average Farmland (carta di tipo Comune): 1 terreno = 1 carta seme utilizzabile
• Fertile Land (carta di tipo Rara): 2 terreni = 2 carte seme utilizzabili contemporaneamente
• Awesome Land (carta di tipo Epica): 3 terreni = 3 carte seme utilizzabili contemporaneamente
• Hi-Tec Land (carta di tipo Leggendaria): 4 terreni = 4 carte seme utilizzabili contemporaneamente

Chi legge i miei post sa che mi piace fare calcoli e scegliere la migliore carta Land da acquistare è un operazione estremamente facile perchè è sufficiente calcolare il Costo per Plot per ogni carta Land presente sul mercato e il costo per Plot più basso indicherà il miglior acquisto possibile oggi.

Nella seguente tabella ho calcolato il costo per Plot per ogni carta Land.

La carta LAND che ha il costo per plot più basso è la carta Fertile Land che è quindi la migliore carta da acquistare oggi 14 marzo 2022.
Infatti la carta Fertile Land ha un costo per plot di 1.55 SWAP.HIVE se acquistata utilizzando come metodo di pagamento i token SWAP.HIVE.
Scegliere se acquistare la stessa carta utilizzando come metodo di pagamento i token CROP è una scelta decisamente sbagliata perchè il costo aumenta di +0.68 SWAP.HIVE.

Sul mercato di Dcrops, nel momento in cui sto scrivendo questo post, ci sono 5 carte Fertile Land in vendita al prezzo di 3.1 SWAP.HIVE e il venditore è il giocatore @keszhia.

Era il giorno 25 febbraio 2022, 16 giorni fa, quando ho controllato i valori di mercato delle carte LAND di Dcrops.

Nelle due tabelle seguenti puoi vedere la differenza dei prezzi di mercato delle carte LAND che ho registrato nelle date:

• 25 febbraio 2022
• 14 marzo 2022

Rispetto a 16 giorni fa (25 febbraio 2022) tranne il prezzo di mercato della carta leggendaria Hi-Tech Land che è diminuito del -15.56% tutte le altre carte Land hanno prezzi di mercato più alti e l'aumento di valore supera il 26%.
L'aumento più significativo lo ha avuto proprio il miglior acquisto che ho individuato prima in questo post e cioè la carta rara Fertile Land: +29.17%.

Carte SEED: Il miglior acquisto per la stagione estiva

Sono in totale cinque le carte SEED utilizzabili durante la stagione primaverile:

• carta Wheat (tipo comune)
• carta Turnip (tipo comune)
• carta Watermelon (tipo rara)
• carta Tomato (tipo epica)
• carta Blueberry (tipo leggendaria)

La stagione estiva è l'unica stagione in cui è possibile piantare due semi che non hanno un periodo di Cooldown e quindi possono essere utilizzati più volte durante la stagione.
Infatti la carta leggendaria Blueberry e la carta epica Tomato non hanno un periodo di Cooldown mentre le restanti tre carte seme (Wheat, Turnip e Watermelon) possono essere utilizzate una sola volta durante la stagione estiva.

Gli NFT di tipo SEED permettono di ottenere dei prodotti agricoli (Crop) che possono essere venduti in cambio di punti SHARES .
I punti SHARES sono importanti perchè su Dcrops c'è una classifica di durata quindicinale (Leaderboard) che viene azzerata ad ogni inizio di stagione e che ha una Reward Pool costituita da un quantitativo di token CROP che viene diviso tra i giocatori in base al quantitativo di punti SHARES che hanno ottenuto durante la stagione a cui fa riferimento la classifica.

Per questo motivo nella scelta delle carte SEED da acquistare i punti SHARES giocano un ruolo importante.
Calcolare il rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE per ogni carta SEED in vendita sul mercato permette di individuare la carta di tipo SEED migliore da acquistare.

Infatti il rapporto PUNTI SHARES/HIVE indica il numero minimo di punti SHARES ottenibile per ogni token HIVE speso nell'acquisto di una carta SEED.

Calcolare il valore del rapporto PUNTI SHARES/HIVE di ogni carta SEED è facile:

Totale Punti SHARES ottenibili dalla carta SEME in una stagione / costo di acquisto della carta SEME (in HIVE)

Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere l'elenco delle carte SEED utilizzabili nella stagione in corso con il corrispondente valore del rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE per ogni carta SEED in vendita sul mercato.

La carta migliore da acquistare oggi 14 marzo è la carta Watermelon, carta di tipo rara che ha un rapporto punti SHARES/HIVE di 68.57 punti.

In tutti i miei precedenti report di fine stagione le carte leggendarie si sono rivelate essere sempre il peggior acquisto possibile in base al rapporto punti SHARES/HIVE perchè il loro costo è stato sempre troppo elevato.

Nelle dinamiche future le carte leggendarie avranno probabilmente più utilità ma al momento non è così e per questo motivo a partire dalla stagione attualmente in corso inizierò a mettere in vendita le carte leggendarie doppie che ho nella mia collezione di carte.

Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere la differenza del prezzo di mercato delle carte SEED che ho registrato nei giorni:

Valutazione del mio investimento su Dcrops

Ho iniziato a giocare e ad investire su Dcrops a fine maggio 2021 e ho investito fino ad oggi un totale di 156.57 HIVE.

Con 156.57 HIVE ho acquistato singole carte dal mercato e ho acquistato un totale di 34 paccchi di carte Alpha.

Ho aperto solo 14 pacchi di carte Alpha mentre ho deciso di non aprire 20 pacchi di carte per aumentare il mio punteggio CROP POWER di 40000 punti (20 pacchi X 2000 CROP POWER).

Sul sito di Dcrops non è più possibile acquistare i pacchi di carte Alpha perchè sono stati tutti venduti e già da tempo ma è ancora possibile acquistarli sui mercati esterni al gioco come ad esempio su Hive Engine o TribalDex.

Oggi 14 marzo 2022 un pacco di carte Alpha è acquistabile come token DCALPHA.

Il valore di 1 token DCALPHA è di:

• 7.49 SWAP.HIVE = 6.3060033$ (Lowest Ask)
• 5.76 SWAP.HIVE = 4.8494765$ (Highest BID)

I miei 20 pacchi di carte Alpha hanno quindi un valore totale di 115.2 SWAP.HIVE.

Ho una collezione di carte composta da 193 carte (NFT):

• 18 carte LAND
• 175 carte SEED

Ogni 15-16 giorni controllo il valore degli NFT in mio possesso e nella tabella seguente puoi vedere:

• il prezzo di mercato di ogni NFT di Dcrops aggiornato ad oggi 14 marzo 2022
• il valore della mia collezione di carte (il prezzo di vendita più basso presente sul mercato X il numero delle carte in mio possesso).

In 16 giorni il valore di mercato della mia collezione di carte è aumentato anche sei di poco ed è oggi di 278.19 SWAP.HIVE = 233.12$.

Nel momento in cui ho controllato il valore di mercato degli NFT di Dcrops ho trovato lo stesso valore in dollari per i token HIVE e per questo motivo anche il valore in dollari della mia collezione di carte è aumentato: + 3.45$.

I token CROP sono i token nativi di Dcrops, sono anche token di secondo livello della blockchain di Hive e sono la ricompensa che i giocatori di Dcrops ottengono ogni fine stagione per la loro attività di gioco.

Oggi 14 marzo 2022 1 token CROP ha un valore di:

• 0.002868 SWAP.HIVE = 0.002410$ (Lowest Ask)
• 0.002633 SWAP.HIVE = 0.002212$ (Highest BID)

Fino ad oggi ho accumulato un totale di 7802.484 token CROP (wallet interno al gioco) il cui valore è di 20.54 HIVE.

Se ai valori che ho calcolato sopra aggiungo anche il valore delle ricompense di gioco che ho ottenuto dalla classifica Holding Rewards ottengo il valore totale degli assets in mio possesso.

La classifica Holding Rewards è il meccanismo con cui Dcrops premia i possessori degli assets del gioco e quindi è un meccanismo di ricompensa slegato dalle operazioni attive di gioco (le operazioni di harvest).
Per ricevere un premio giornaliero in Hive dalla classifica Holding Rewards è però necessario avere un punteggio CROP POWER >= 20000 punti.

Io ho un punteggio CROP POWER di 47503.05 punti.

Dalla classifica Holding Rewards ho ottenuto fino ad ora un totale di 17.82 HIVE.

Profit, Roi e Considerazioni

Ho adesso tutti i dati a disposizione, costo totale investimento e totale valore degli assets in mio possesso posso, per calcolare i risultati finanziari del mio investimento su Dcrops aggiornati alla data odierna (14 marzo 2022).

Costo totale investimento: 156.57 HIVE:
Valore totale della mia collezione di carte: 278.19 SWAP.HIVE (valore di mercato stimato)
Valore totale 20 pacchi di carte Alpha in mio possesso: 115.20 SWAP.HIVE
Valore totale delle ricompense ricevute dalla classifica Holding Rewards: 17.82 HIVE
Valore dei token CROP in mio possesso: 20.54 SWAP.HIVE.

Da fine maggio 2021 ad oggi sono passati circa 9 mesi e mezzo e il profitto che ho ottenuto è di 275.18 HIVE = 230.60$

Un profitto di 275.18 token HIVE produce un ROI di +175.76% (report precedente +169.59%)

Considerazioni Finali

Sono soddisfatto del mio investimento su Dcrops perchè ho ottenuto un ottimo ROI (+175.76%) in 9 mesi e mezzo di investimento e l'impegno di tempo per ottenerlo è stato davvero minimo: circa 8-10 collegamenti al sito di Dcrops al mese.

Dei 275.18 HIVE di profitto solo 38.36 HIVE derivano dalle ricompense di gioco mentre la restante parte deriva dall'apprezzamento di valore degli NFT e dei pacchi di carte Alpha.

Questo vuol dire che Dcrops è un investimento che va considerato nel medio-lungo periodo perchè il valore delle ricompense ottenibili non è molto alto al momento.

La scelta di entrare subito nel gioco a partire dalla seconda stagione assoluta di Dcrops è stata una scelta vincente e il mio profitto deriva per la maggior parte da questa scelta.

Dcrops è un gioco che ha potenziale perchè:

• è semplice da giocare
• richiede poco tempo da dedicarci
• ha un tema, natura e agricoltura, che generalmente piace alla maggior parte delle persone.

L'unico fattore di rischio che vedo e che deve essere considerato prima di investire in Dcrops è che lo sviluppo e la gestione del gioco è nelle mani di un'unica persona.
Lo sviluppatore sta facendo un bel lavoro ma non avere un team strutturato che si occupi dei vari aspetti del gioco (sviluppo, promozione, supporto, ...) è secondo me comunque un fattore di rischio da considerare e che mi sento in dovere di sottolineare per rispetto dei miei lettori.

Tralasciando le mie considerazioni e riflessioni personali lo sviluppo e il miglioramento del gioco prosegue e sono felice di questo.
L'ultima novità introdotta durante la stagione primaverile è stata l'introduzione della sezione SWAP all'interno del sito del gioco che permette di convertire i token HIVE in token SWAP.HIVE.

Questa funzionalità è molto utile perchè permette ai giocatori che non sono molto pratici nelle operazioni di acquisto e vendita di token su Hive Engine e TribalDex di effettuare la conversione dei token HIVE in SWAP.HIVE e viceversa in modo semplice e veloce e con una fee di 0.25% che è molto più bassa rispetto ad Hive Engine e TribalDex (0.75%) ed è sulla stessa linea di BeeSwap e LeoDex.

Concludo questo mio post su Dcrops con la condivisione della tabella dei prezzi di mercato degli NFT di Dcrops con la variazione di valore registrata negli ultimi 16 giorni sperando che possa essere utile a chi ha intenzione di investire nel gioco e che dà un ulteriore elemento di valutazione del gioco.
