Chaos Legion Phase 2: VOUCHER, Effective cost of a pack of cards + How to buy Credits - Step by step guide

Today is it's December 4, and we're 3 days and 17 hours away from the official launch of the Chaos Legion card collection.

On December 8 it will be possible to open packs of cards purchased during the pre-sale and the phase 2 the Chaos Legion sale will begin.

In the post published by @splinterlands (November 30, 2021) and which you can read by clicking on the following Link, updates were introduced regarding Phase 2 of the Chaos Legion card pack sale.

Chaos Legion Phase 2

I've summarized in tabular form the main information from Phase 2 of the Chaos Legion card pack sale (image below).

The benefits of Phase 2

Participating in the pre-sale had a lot more benefits than the phase 2 benefits (1 Doctor Blight card for every 50 packs of cards purchased, 1 Doctor Blight card in Gold version for every 1000 packs of cards purchased, 1 Legionnaire title for every 1000 packs purchased).

Those who participate in Phase 2 of the Chaos Legion collection sale will have the following benefits:

First Benefit: Assured participation in the next two card airdrops.

As written in the post of Splinterlands:

All packs purchased during the second phase of the sale (in addition to the packs purchased during the presale) will be eligible to receive BOTH of these airdrop cards, and the airdrop will still occur at the scheduled time even if not all of the 2M packs are sold in the second phase.

In addition to those who purchased the packs of cards during the pre-sale, those who will purchase packs of cards during the entire phase 2 sale will be able to participate in the airdrop of the next 2 cards.
Only players who participated in phase 2 will be able to claim the two airdrop cards (at the end of phase 2).

Note: It will be possible to perform the Claim even if all 2 million packs of cards available for purchase during Phase 2 have not been sold.

Second Benefit: certainty to buy Chaos Legion packs without having the fear that they will be sold out in a short time during Phase 3.

I have noticed that this is a fear that many players have.
In Phase 3, 12 million packs of Chaos Legion cards will be available for purchase.
Will they be able to be sold in a few minutes?
Sure, it is a possibility to consider but I think it is an improbable possibility.
12 million packs of cards are really a lot and in my opinion, in the best case scenario, they will be sold in a few hours or in a few days.
In my opinion, those who have chosen to wait for phase 3 and want to be assured of buying card packs will just have to commit to being there when the phase 3 sale opens ;)

Third Benefit: immediate availability of Chaos Legion cards packs

Those who purchase a Chaos Legion card pack during phase 2 will have immediate availability of the card pack, and then can choose to open a card pack or not open a card pack.
Whoever participates in phase 2, purchases a pack of cards and chooses to open it will have:

  • a greater number of cards to:
    • use in battle
    • sell or rent
  • an increase in the Power score and consequently an increase in the SPS token airdrop score (300 points).

Who participates in phase 2, buys a pack of cards but chooses not to open it will have:

  • an increase in the SPS token airdrop score of 300 points.

As I've shown you, participating in Phase 2 of the Chaos Legion card pack sale has benefits.
However, these benefits have an additional cost that each player will have to consider based on their personal evaluation and compare to the effective cost of a card pack purchased during Phase 2.

The VOUCHER tokens and the effective cost of 1 pack of cards

During Phase 2, the cost of purchasing a Chaos Legion card pack will be $4 exactly as it was during the presale.
The effective cost of a Chaos Legion pack will be the result of the following sum:

effective Chaos Legion card pack cost = Card pack cost + VOUCHER token value.

In fact, VOUCHER tokens will continue to be the prerequisite for purchasing packs of Chaos Legion cards even during Phase 2.

1 pack of Chaos Legion cards = $4 + 1 VOUCHER token

During Phase 2 of the Chaos Legion card pack sale, there will be 2 million packs available for purchase and VOUCHER token distribution will double from the presale.

The VOUCHER token distribution mechanism during the presale was as follows:

33333,333 tokens per day / total SPS staked * SPS staked by player

The VOUCHER token distribution mechanism from December 8, 2021 through and including January 6, 2022 will be as follows:

66666,666 tokens per day / total SPS staked * SPS staked by player

Phase 2 ends on January 12 but from January 7 the distribution of VOUCHER tokens will continue without interruption but the Voucher token distribution mechanism will change and will be as follows:

20000 tokens per day / total SPS staked * SPS staked by player

The Phase 3 (General Sale) is scheduled to begin on January 17, 2022 (12:00 EST/17:00 UTC).
During Phase 3, VOUCHER tokens will no longer be essential but will still be useful because they will be the requirement for obtaining bonuses for multiple purchase of Chaos Legion card packs.

For example, someone who will buy 500 packs of cards in one transaction and wants to receive 75 packs of bonus cards will have to have and use 75 VOUCHER tokens.

Today December 4, 2021 the value of 1 VOUCHER token on Hive Engine is:

  • 5.80 SWAP.HIVE (Highest Bid).
  • 7.15 SWAP.HIVE (Lowest Ask)

In the following images you can see the current charts for VOUCHER tokens (Candlestick and Depth)

Now I show you the value of VOUCHER tokens in dollars at four different times:

  • beginning pre-sale (October 18, 2021)
  • mid-sale (November 2, 2021)
  • end of presale (November 16, 2021)
  • Today (December 4, 2021)

On the first day of the presale, the value of 1 VOUCHER token was $20.00.

On the sixteenth day after the start of the presale (November 2, 2021) the value of 1 VOUCHER token was $11.94.

On the last day of the presale (November 16, 2021) the value of 1 VOUCHER token was $16.88

Today, December 4, the dollar value of 1 VOUCHER token is $13.08.

If we assume that the dollar value of VOUCHER tokens will remain the same as it is today, whoever buys a pack of Chaos Legion cards on December 8 will incur an effective cost of 17.08$.

It's just my prediction (not financial advice) but the value of VOUCHER tokens should continue to drop because the benefits of participating in phase two will be less than those of the presale phase.

By the way, the value of VOUCHER tokens during phase 3 should drop below the $4 value because otherwise it would offer no financial benefit over buying a pack of Chaos Legion cards without the use of VOUCHER tokens.

Will it be convenient to pay a pack of cards 17.08$ during phase 2 when in phase 3 it can be bought for 4$?

The answer to this question is obviously personal and subjective.
The choice of whether or not to participate in phase 2 of the Chaos Legion card pack sale will depend mainly on two elements:

  • the value that the VOUCHER tokens will have during the phase 2 sale period.
  • the value of the 2 cards that will be distributed by airdrop to the participants of phase 2 of sale

Credits: only method of purchase

During both phase 2 and phase 3 the only method of purchase will be the use of Credits.

The reasons for this choice were explained by Splinterlands in their recent post:

With this change, there should no longer be any exchange rate discrepancies for DEC or SPS tokens between the website and the backend servers that process the payments like there were in some cases during the presale...

This is great news for those who have promoted Splinterlands in the past months and have a lot of affiliates because they will most probably receive a good reward from their past promotion activity because rewards from affiliate purchases are only receivable with Credit purchases.

How to buy credits from Splinterlands website

Now I want to show how easy it is to buy Credits from Splinterlands website to help those who have never done this before.

To buy Credits from the Splinterlands site you need to perform the following steps:
Step 1. you have to click on the + symbol that is on the top left of the bar that indicates the amount of DEC tokens as indicated by the arrow in the following two images.

Step 2. On the next screen you have two options to choose from:

  • Purchase via Paypal
  • Purchase via Crypto

To purchase credits with Paypal you must have a Paypal account.
The operation is simple and fast.

For Crypto purchase you have many options to choose from:

  • SPS
  • BTC
  • LTC
  • BUSD
  • WAX

  • BCH
  • ETN

NOTE: Other purchase options may be added before December 8th and among them there will be the possibility to buy Credits with DEC tokens as written in the following comment by @yabapmatt :

You will be able to buy Credits with DEC before the Chaos Legion release, so that is how players can buy packs with DEC. Of course we will always accept DEC for all purchases within the game.

Step 3. After you have chosen the token you want to use as payment, you have to click on the green button marked BUY.

For example to buy CREDITS with HBD tokens:

  • you have to select HBD from the list of usable cryptos as indicated by arrow number 1 in the following image.
  • Then you have to click on BUY as indicated by arrow number 2 in the following image

On the next screen you must choose whether to use Hive Keychain or Hivesigner to complete the payment.

If you choose Hive Keychain you must click on PAY WITH KEYCHAIN and then you must click on CONFIRM within the TRANSFER screen of Hive Keychain.
Follow the arrow directions in the image below.

You will see the following screen while the transfer operation is running.

To show you the steps you need to take to purchase Credits with HBD tokens I purchased 1 Credit and spent 1,068 HBD.
I waited a few seconds to see my balance for the Credits increased by one.

Operation completed successfully! Easy right?

Conclusion

Splinterlands is my favorite blockchain-based game and my purchase goal related to Chaos Legion card packs is a minimum of 1000 card packs.

I have not yet decided whether to participate in Phase 2 or wait for Phase 3 (General Sale).
My decision will be highly influenced by the value of the VOUCHER tokens and as long as their value is higher than 4$ I think I will continue to sell them while in the opposite case I will consider what to do.

Obviously mine are only personal evaluations and they are not financial advices.

Chaos Legion Fase 2: VOUCHER, Costo effettivo di un pacco di carte + Come acquistare Crediti - Guida passo passo

Oggi è il 4 dicembre e mancano 3 giorni e 17 ore al lancio ufficiale della collezione di carte Chaos Legion.

L'8 dicembre sarà possibile aprire i pacchi di carte acquistati durante la prevendita e inizierà la fase 2 della vendita Chaos Legion.

Nel post pubblicato da @splinterlands (30 Novembre 2021) e che puoi leggere cliccando sul seguente Link, sono stati introdotti degli aggioramenti riguardanti la Fase 2 della vendita dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion.

Chaos Legion Phase 2

Ho sintetizzato in forma tabellare le informazioni principali della Fase 2 della vendita dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion (immagine seguente).

I benefici della Phase 2

Partecipare alla prevendita aveva molti più benefici rispetto alla fase 2 di vendita (1 Doctor Blight card per ogni 50 pacchi di carte acquistati, 1 Doctor Blight card in versione Gold per ogni 1000 pacchi di carte acquistati, 1 titolo legionnaire per ogni 1000 pacchi acquistati).

Chi parteciperà alla fase 2 di vendita della collezione Chaos Legion avrà i seguenti benefici:

Primo Beneficio: partecipazione assicurata ai prossimi due airdrop delle carte.

Come scritto nel post di Splinterlands:

All packs purchased during the second phase of the sale (in addition to all packs purchased during the presale) will be eligible to receive BOTH of these airdrop cards, and the airdrop will still occur at the scheduled time even if not all of the 2M packs are sold in the second phase.

All'airdrop delle 2 prossime carte potrà partecipare, oltre a chi ha acquistato i pacchi di carte durante la prevendita, chi acquisterà i pacchi di carte durante tutta la fase 2 di vendita.
Potranno fare il claim delle due carte dell'airdrop (alla fine della Fase 2) solo i giocatori che hanno partecipato alla fase 2

Nota: Sarà possibile fare il Claim anche se non saranno stati venduti tutti e 2 i milioni di pacchi di carte disponibili all'acquisto durante la fase 2.

Secondo Beneficio: certezza di acquistare i pacchi di carte Chaos Legion senza avere la paura che finiscano in poco tempo durante la Fase 3 di vendita.

Ho notato che questa è un paura che hanno molti giocatori.
Nella fase 3 saranno disponibili all'acquisto 12 milioni di pacchi di carte Chaos Legion.
Potranno essere venduti in pochi minuti?
Certo, è una possibilità da considerare ma io penso che sia una possibilità improbabile.
12 milioni di pacchi di carte sono davvero tanti e secondo me, nella migliore delle ipotesi, saranno venduti nel giro di qualche ora o nel giro di pochi giorni.
Secondo me chi ha scelto di aspettare la fase 3 e vuole avere la certezza di comprare i pacchi di carte dovrà solo impegnarsi ad essere presente al momento dell'apertura della vendita della fase 3 ;)

Terzo Beneficio: immediata disponibilità dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion

Chi acquista un pacco di carte Chaos Legion durante la fase 2 avrà l'immediata disponibilità del pacco di carte e quindi potrà scegliere se aprire un pacco di carte o non aprirlo.
Chi partecipa alla fase 2, acquista un pacco di carte e sceglie di aprirlo avrà:

  • un numero maggiore di carte da:
    • impiegare in battaglia
    • vendere o noleggiare
  • un incremento del punteggio Power e di conseguenza un incremento del punteggio per l'airdrop dei token SPS (300 punti).

Chi partecipa alla fase 2, acquista un pacco di carte ma sceglie di non aprirlo avrà:

  • un incremento del punteggio dell'Airdrop dei token SPS di 300 punti

Come ti ho mostrato, partecipare alla Fase 2 della vendita dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion ha dei benefici.
Questi benefici hanno però un costo aggiuntivo che ogni giocatore dovrà considerare in base alla propria personale valutazione e confrontare con il costo effettivo di un pacco di carte acquistato durante la fase 2.

I token VOUCHER e il costo effettivo di 1 pacco di carte

Durante la Fase 2 il costo di acquisto di un pacco di carte Chaos Legion sarà di 4$ esattamente come era durante la prevendita.
Il costo effettivo di un pacco di carte Chaos Legion sarà invece il risultato della seguente somma:

Costo effettivo pacco di carte Chaos Legion = Costo pacco di carte + Valore token VOUCHER

Infatti i token VUOCHER contineranno ad essere il requisito indispensabile per acquistare i pacchi di carte Chaos Legion anche durante la Fase 2.

1 pack of Chaos Legion cards = 4$ + 1 token VOUCHER

Durante la fase 2 di vendita dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion i pacchi disponibili all'acquisto saranno 2 milioni e la distribuzione dei token VOUCHER raddoppierà rispetto alla prevendita.

Il meccanismo di distribuzione dei token VOUCHER durante la prevendita era il seguente:

33333.333 tokens al giorno / totale SPS staked * SPS staked by player

Il meccanismo di distribuzione dei token VOUCHER fino al 6 gennaio 2021 compreso sarà il seguente:

66666.666 tokens al giorno / totale SPS staked * SPS staked by player

La Fase 2 termina il 12 gennaio ma dal 7 gennaio la distribuzione dei token VOUCHER continuerà senza interruzioni ma il meccanismo di distribuzione dei token Voucher cambierà e sarà il seguente:

20000 tokens al giorno / totale SPS staked * SPS staked by player

L'inizio della Fase 3 (General Sale) è prevista per il giorno 17 gennaio 2022 (12:00 EST/17:00 UTC).
Durante la fase 3 i token VOUCHER non saranno più indispensabili ma saranno comunque utili perchè saranno il requisito per ottenere i bonus per l'acquisto multiplo dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion.

Chi ad esempio comprerà 500 pacchi di carte in un'unica transazione e vorrà ricevere 75 pacchi di carte bonus dovrà avere e utilizzare 75 token VOUCHER.

Oggi 4 dicembre 2021 il valore di 1 token VOUCHER su Hive Engine è di:

  • 5.80 SWAP.HIVE (Highest Bid)
  • 7.15 SWAP.HIVE (Lowest Ask)

Adesso ti mostro l'andamento del valore dei token VOUCHER in dollari in quattro momenti diversi:

  • inizio prevendita (18 ottobre 2021)
  • metà prevendita (2 novembre 2021)
  • fine prevendita (16 novembre 2021)
  • oggi (4 dicembre 2021)

Il primo giorno della prevendita il valore di 1 token VOUCHER era di 20.00$

Il sedicesimo giorno dopo l'inizio della prevendita (2 novembre 2021) il valore di 1 token VOUCHER era di 11.94$

L'ultimo giorno della prevendita (16 novembre 2021) il valore di 1 token VOUCHER era di 16.88$

Oggi 4 dicembre il valore in dollari di 1 token VOUCHER è di 13.08$

Se ipotizziamo che il valore dei token VOUCHER in dollari dovesse rimanere uguale a quello odierno chi comprerà un pacco di carte Chaos Legion l'8 dicembre sosterrà un costo effettivo di 17.08$

E' solo la mia previsione (non è un consiglio finanziario) ma il valore dei token VOUCHER dovrebbe continuare a scendere perchè i benefici della partecipazione alla fase due saranno inferiori a quelli della fase della prevendita.

Tra l'altro il valore dei token VOUCHER durante la fase 3 dovrebbe scendere sotto il valore di 4$ perchè altrimenti non offrirebbe nessun vantaggio economico rispetto all'acquisto di un pacco di carte Chaos Legion senza l'utilizzo dei token VOUCHER.

Converrà pagare un pacco di carte 17.08$ durante la fase 2 quando nella fase 3 potrà essere comprato a 4$?

La risposta a questa domanda è ovviamente personale e soggettiva.
La scelta se partecipare o meno alla fase 2 della vendita dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion dipenderà principalmente da due elementi:

  • il valore che avranno i token VOUCHER durante il periodo della fase 2 di vendita.
  • il valore delle 2 carte che verranno distribuite tramite airdrop ai partecipanti alla fase 2 di vendita

I Credits: unica modalità di acquisto

Sia durante la fase 2 che durante la fase 3 l'unica modalità di acquisto sarà l'utilizzo dei Crediti.

Le motivazioni di questa scelta sono state spiegate da Splinterlands nel suo recente post:

Questa è un'ottima notizia per chi ha promosso Splinterlands nei mesi passati e ha tanti affiliati perchè riceverà con molta probabilità una buona ricompensa dalla sua attività di promozione passata perchè le ricompense dagli acquisti degli affiliati sono ricevibili solo con gli acquisti tramite Crediti.

Come acquistare crediti dal sito di Splinterlands

Adesso voglio mostrare quanto è semplice acquistare Crediti dal sito di Splinterlands per aiutare chi non ha mai effettuato questa operazione.

Per acquistare i crediti dal sito di Splinterlands devi eseguire i seguenti passaggi:
Passo 1. devi cliccare sul simbolo + che si trova in alto alla sinistra della barra che indica il quantitativo dei token DEC come indicato dalla freccia nelle due immagini seguenti.

Passo 2. Nella schermata successiva hai due opzioni tra cui scegliere:

  • Acquisto tramite Paypal
  • Acquisto tramite Crypto

Per acquistare i crediti con Paypal devi avere un conto Paypal.
L'operazione è semplice e veloce.

Per l'acquisto tramite Crypto hai tante opzioni tra cui scegliere:

  • SPS
  • BTC
  • LTC

NOTA: Altre opzioni di acquisto potrebbero essere aggiunte prima dell'8 dicembre e tra queste ci sarà sicuramente la possibilità di acquistare i Crediti con i token DEC come scritto nel seguente commento da @yabapmatt :

Passo 3. Dopo che hai scelto il token da utilizzare come pagamento devi cliccare sul bottone di colore verde con la scritta BUY

Ad esempio per comprare i CREDITI con i token HBD:

  • devi selezionare HBD dalla lista delle crypto utilizzabili come indicato dalla freccia numero 1 nell'immagine seguente.
  • poi devi cliccare su BUY come indicato dalla freccia numero 2 nell'immagine seguente

Nella schermata successiva devi scegliere se utilizzare Hive Keychain o Hivesigner per completare il pagamento.

Se scegli Hive Keychain devi cliccare su PAY WITH KEYCHAIN e poi devi cliccare su CONFIRM all'interno della schermata TRANSFER di Hive Keychain.
Segui le indicazioni delle frecce nell'immagine seguente.

Ti comparirà la seguente schermata mentre l'operazione di trasferimento viene eseguita.

Per mostrare i passi da seguire per acquistare i Crediti con i token HBD ho acquistato 1 Credito e ho speso 1.068 HBD.
Io ho aspettato pochi secondi per vedere il mio bilancio relativo ai Crediti incrementato di un'unità.

Operazione completata con successo! Facile vero?

Conclusione

Splinterlands è il mio gioco basato su blockchain preferito e il mio obbiettivo di acquisto relativo ai pacchi di carte Chaos Legion è di minimo 1000 pacchi di carte.

Non ho ancora deciso se partecipare alla fase 2 o se aspettare la fase 3 (General Sale).
La mia decisione sarà altamente influenzata dal valore dei token VOUCHER e fin quando il loro valore sarà superiore a 4$ penso che continuerò a venderli mentre nel caso contrario valuterò il da farsi.

Ovviamente le mie sono solo personali valutazioni e non sono consigli finanziari.

I'll do the same as you: vouchers highly priced, sell for profit and reinvest in game. Very low price... and I'll consider purchasing right away.

Altro post eccezionale... nella prima prevendita ho eseguito una strategia mista, cioè ho venduto un po’ di token Voucher e ho acquistato un po’ di carte. Con i token Vouscher che ho venduto mi sono comprato degli HIVE che hanno contribuito ad accrescere il potenziale del mio profilo HIVE, e questo grazie ad aver letto il tuo post a riguardo della pre sale e del valore altissimo dei token voucher. Nella prossima edizione vedrò come andrà finire, nel senso che deciderò verso la fine ma attualmente mi posizioneró su una strategia simile a quella che ho adottato nella prima fase.

Io penso che venderò tutti i miei voucher se il valore sarà superiore ai 4$ anche perchè nella fase 3 non potranno avere un valore superiore a meno che Splinterlands non pensi ad un ulteriore caso d'uso oltre al ricevimento dei bonus per acquisti di pacchi multipli.
Cmq potrei cambiare idea quando conoscerò le caratteristiche delle carte distribuite con l'Airdrop ;)
