Today is the first day of August 2023 and every first of the month I like to publish a post in which I share my path, my progress and my goals on the Hive blockchain.

Hive was the first blockchain project in which I saw potential, it was March 5, 2019 when I signed up on Hive and today after 4 years and almost 5 months Hive is still my favorite blockchain project because Hive has an uncommon feature in the blockchain project landscape: Hive has so many utilities.

There are so many activities I like to do on Hive such as writing and publishing content on my Hive blog or reading other authors' articles.
For the past two years I have been focusing a lot on Hive games which after my first game battle on Splinterlands have become one of my passions.

Hive is a DPOS (Delegate Proof of Stake) blockchain where an ecosystem of sites, dapps and communities lives and is constantly evolving and expanding and I am very happy to be part of this ecosystem and would love to increase more and more my weight within Hive.

On Hive, the weight of each user is measured by the amount of Hive Power = HIVE Staked the user has and I have always set medium to long term growth goals on Hive and have always preferred to increase my Hive Power than accumulate other tokens such as HBDs which even though they allow 20% APR have fewer use cases than HPs.

I continue to keep the Reward Distribution of my posts divided into 50% HBD and 50% HP only because I want to have a chance to get more HIVE for HBD in case there is a decrease in the value of the HIVE token.

And that is exactly what happened last month when the HIVE token touched a market value of $0.278516 (June 15, 2023) as a result of the SEC vs. Binance affair that produced negative effects on the market value of tokens of almost all blockchain projects.

In the month of June, I was not able to convert the HBDs I had in my wallet to the lowest HIVE token market value recorded in the month of June, but I am still satisfied that I was able to convert 1126.05 HBDs to 3492.79 HIVEs which I used to make my biggest Power Up since I have been on Hive: 3738 HP!

Today the HIVE token has recovered value compared to June 15, 2023 and has a value of $0.355.

In the time interval June 15, 2023 - July 1, 2023 the HIVE token has increased in value against the dollar by +27.46% as you can see from the calculation in the table below.

I have resumed accumulating the HBD tokens in Savings and if the value of HIVE in the future decreases in the range of $0.30-$0.33 I will remove my HBDs from the Savings section to do the HBD->HIVE->HP conversion.

On Hive at specific amounts of HP you acquire a status.

On Hive I would like to achieve Orca status as soon as possible and this is my main current goal although it is still an intermediate goal because I would like to achieve even higher goals later on.

Just over four years ago I was a Red Fish (Hive Power<567 HP), today I am a Dolphin (5662 HP < Hive Power < 56612 HP).

The amounts of HP that must be exceeded to acquire a status are dynamic and may change as time goes on.

In order to achieve Orca status, I must accumulate an amount of 56612 HP.

Exactly one month ago, on July 1, 2023, the requirement to acquire Orca status was slightly lower: 56465 HP Vs 56612 HP.

To monitor my progress toward Orca status and to self-motivate myself at each beginning of the month, I created a table in which I mark my monthly increases in Hive Power.

The month of July was a good month because I increased my Hive Power by +919.08 HP which corresponds to a monthly percentage increase of +2.27% even though so far the best month for me was the month of June.

I took another small step forward and completed 73.12% of my path to my current main goal on Hive.

In July I passed the 41K HP threshold which allows me to take a small step forward in the ranking of Hive users with the most HP: position 379 -> position 378

The two elements I consider most important for growing on Hive are in order of importance:

• interaction
• consistency in publication.

To monitor and evaluate my level of interaction, I like to calculate the Posts/Comments ratio value each month.

I have a Posts/Comments ratio = 1423/21453 = 1/15.07

I would like to increase this ratio to 1/20 = 20 comments per published post.

If you are a new Hive user, I recommend that you always give a lot of importance to interaction and try to maintain a posts/comments ratio of at least 1/10.

Why should a Hive user read and comment on one of your posts if you don't read and comment on other authors' posts?

As for my consistency in publishing, I would like to be able to publish 1 post per day in a month but I have not reached this goal for many months:

• August 2022: 10 published posts
• September 2022: 16 published posts
• October 2022: 17 published posts
• November 2022: 13 published posts
• December 2022: 15 published posts
• January 2023: 16 published posts
• February 2023: 19 published posts
• March 2023: 22 published posts
• April 2023: 19 published posts
• May 2023: 25 published posts
• June 2023: 16 published posts
• July 2023: 18 published posts

However, I am happy that I was able to publish two more posts than I did in June and I am also very happy that I entered the TOP 100 of authors who earned the most in July because I placed at position 49 in the ranking published by @dalz in the following post: Top Hive Earners By Category | Authors, Curators, Witnesses, DAO, HBD Interest | July 2023

I conclude this post of mine by sharing my participation in the Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) of August.
Today I Power Up all the liquid HIVE tokens I had in my wallet: 32.81 HIVE -> 32.81 HP

Power Up is for me the best way to start the month on the Hive blockchain and if you too have HIVE liquid in your wallet and have not yet Power Up you still have more than 4 hours to do so.

Are you not a Hive user?

If you are not a Hive user and don't know the world of blockchains you have two options:

You can continue to be a simple number, a simple source of data and wealth for centralized projects like Facebook & Co. without receiving anything or almost anything in return.

What makes Hive's blockchain more unique than rare are its peculiarities:

41K Hive Power Superato e la mia strada da Delfino ad Orca!

Oggi è il primo giorno del mese di agosto 2023 e ogni primo del mese mi piace pubblicare un post in cui condivido il mio percorso, i miei progressi e i miei obiettivi sulla blockchain di Hive.

Hive è stato il primo progetto blockchain in cui ho visto del potenziale, era il 5 marzo 2019 quando mi sono iscritto su Hive e oggi dopo 4 anni e quasi 5 mesi Hive è ancora il mio progetto blockchain preferito perchè Hive è una caratteristica non comune nel panorama dei progetti blockchain: Hive ha tante utilità.

Sono tante le attività che mi piace fare su Hive come ad esempio scrivere e pubblicare contenuti sul mio Hive blog o leggere gli articoli degli altri autori.
Da due anni a questa parte mi sono focalizzato molto sugli Hive games che dopo la mia prima battaglia di gioco su Splinterlands sono diventati una delle mie passioni.

Hive è una blockchain DPOS (delegate proof of stake) dove vive un ecosistema di siti, dapps e comunità in continua evoluzione ed espansione e io sono molto felice di fare parte di questo ecosistema e mi piacerebbe aumentare sempre di più il mio peso all'interno di Hive.

Su Hive il peso di ogni utente è misurato dal quantitativo di Hive Power = HIVE Staked che l'utente ha e io ho sempre fissato degli obiettivi di crescita di medio-lungo termine su Hive e ho sempre preferito aumentare il mio Hive Power rispetto ad accumulare altri token come ad esempio gli HBD che anche se permettono di ottenere un APR del 20% hanno meno casi d'uso rispetto agli HP.

Continuo a mantenere la Reward Distribution dei miei posts divisa in 50% HBD e 50% HP solo perchè voglio avere la possibilità di ottenere più HIVE per HBD nel caso in cui ci fosse una diminuzione del valore del token HIVE.

Ed è proprio quello che è successo il mese scorso quando il token HIVE ha toccato un valore di mercato di 0.278516$ (15 giugno 2023) per effetto della vicenda SEC vs Binance che ha prodotto effetti negativi sul valore dei tokens di quasi tutti i progetti blockchain.

Nel mese di giugno non sono riuscito a convertire gli HBD che avevo nel mio wallet al valore di mercato del token HIVE più basso registrato nel mese di giugno ma sono comunque soddisfatto di essere riuscito a convertire 1126.05 HBD in 3492.79 HIVE che ho utilizzato per effettuare il mio più grande Power Up da quando sono su Hive: 3738 HP!

Oggi il token HIVE ha recuperato valore rispetto al 15 giugno 2023 e ha un valore di 0.355$.

Nell'intervallo di tempo 15 giugno 2023 - 1 luglio 2023 il token HIVE ha registrato un aumento di valore rispetto al dollaro del +27.46% come puoi vedere dal calcolo nel prospetto seguente.

Ho ripreso ad accumulare i token HBD in Savings e se il valore di HIVE in futuro dovesse scendere nel range di valori 0.30$-0.33$ toglierò i miei HBD dalla sezione Savings per effettuare la conversione HBD->HIVE->HP.

Su Hive a determinati quantitativi di HP si acquisisce uno status.

Su Hive mi piacerebbe raggiungere lo status di Orca nel più breve tempo possibile e questo è il mio obiettivo principale attuale anche se è comunque un obiettivo intermedio perchè vorrei in seguito raggiungere obiettivi ancora più alti.

Poco più di quattro anni fa ero un Red Fish (Hive Power<567 HP), oggi sono un Delfino (5662 HP < Hive Power < 56612 HP).

I quantitativi di HP da superare per acquisire uno status sono dinamici e possono cambiare con il passare del tempo.

Per raggiungere lo status di Orca devo accumulare un quantitativo di 56612 HP.

Esattamente un mese fa, il 1 luglio 2023 il requisito per acquisire lo status di Orca era leggermente inferiore: 56465 HP Vs 56612 HP.

Per monitorare i miei progressi verso lo status di Orca e per automotivarmi ad ogni inizio mese ho costruito una tabella in cui segno ad ogni inizio mese i miei incrementi mensili di Hive Power.

Il mese di luglio è stato un mese positivo perchè ho aumentato il mio Hive Power di +919.08 HP che corrisponde ad un incremento percentuale mensile del +2.27% anche se fino ad oggi il mese più bello per me è stato il mese di giugno.

Ho fatto un ulteriore piccolo passo in avanti e ho completato il 73.12% del mio percorso verso il mio obiettivo principale attuale su Hive.

Nel mese di luglio ho superato la soglia dei 41K HP che mi permette di fare un piccolo passo in avanti nella classifica degli utenti di Hive con il maggior quantitativo di HP: posizione 379 -> posizione 378

I due elementi che considero più importanti per crescere su Hive sono in ordine di importanza:

• interazione
• consistenza nella pubblicazione

Per monitorare e valutare il mio livello di interazione mi piace calcolare ogni mese il valore del rapporto Posts/Comments.

Ho un rapporto Posts/Comments = 1423/21453 = 1/15.07

Mi piacerebbe portare questo rapporto a 1/20 = 20 commenti per ogni post pubblicato.

Se sei un nuovo utente di Hive ti consiglio di dare sempre molta importanza all'interazione e di cercare di mantenere un rapporto posts/commenti di almeno 1/10.

Perchè un utente di Hive dovrebbe leggere e commentare un tuo post se tu non leggi e commenti i post degli altri autori?

Per quanto riguarda la mia consistenza nella pubblicazione mi piacerebbe riuscire a pubblicare 1 post al giorno ma sono tanti mesi che non raggiungo questo obiettivo:

• Agosto 2022: 10 post pubblicati
• Settembre 2022: 16 post pubblicati
• Ottobre 2022: 17 post pubblicati
• Novembre 2022: 13 post pubblicati
• Dicembre 2022: 15 post pubblicati
• Gennaio 2023: 16 post pubblicati
• Febbraio 2023: 19 post pubblicati
• Marzo 2023: 22 post pubblicati
• Aprile 2023: 19 post pubblicati
• Maggio 2023: 25 post pubblicati
• Giugno 2023: 16 post pubblicati
• Luglio 2023: 18 post pubblicati

Sono comunque contento di essere riuscito a pubblicare due post in più rispetto al mese di giugno e sono anche molto contento di essere entrato nella TOP 100 degli autori che hanno guadagnato di più nel mese di luglio perchè mi sono posizionato al posto 49 della classifica pubblicata da @dalz nel seguente post: Top Hive Earners By Category | Authors, Curators, Witnesses, DAO, HBD Interest | July 2023
