Hello everyone and welcome to my blog, how are you all doing in your various places. This week, the ladies of hive community contest give us questions to discuss about but I must say, the question are very sensitive but let me give my opinion about the first question;

According to the Internet, Euthanasia is the intervention voluntarily accepted by the patient and performed by a medical professional, which accelerates the death of a terminally ill patient, with the intention of avoiding unnecessary suffering and pain. Do you agree with this way of dying, do you think it dignifies the person in his decision of how to leave, or on the contrary, do you think it should not be practiced? Could you argue your point of view?

From my own opinion, Euthanasia is like assisting a terminal ill person to commit suicide and it can also be consider as a murder which is not acceptable. The patient might not be mentally competent and might not be able to express their wish to end their own life.

At time, the patient feel guilty and think they are a burden to their family and loved ones, they might not want to be a bother to them emotionally and financially again and when the hospital encourage the Euthanasia consent they might accept because they don't want to be a burden any longer not because they really want it and the decision can be complicated if the patient is with depression.

Even though euthanasia might help the family and loved ones of the patient to shorten their suffering and grieve and also end of suffering to those with intractable suffering but if it was allowed, it might start with people who are truly suffering from terminal illness and then include other individual.

In some cases, the patient who was diagnosed with terminal illness might recover against all odds because there might be a wrong diagnosed. It happens to a woman, she was sick for several years, like five years or so, everybody have given up on her, her children doesn't have any hope of her getting better. She was just there, she can do anything by herself. They once suggest this thing to her family but they rejected it saying if she will die, she should die naturally and after many years of being on the sick bed she started responding to the treatment and was heal

What if theyhe have consented to the euthanasia when the pain was really unbearable, it good to look at the other side before making any decisions.

**Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day

Just as you say, you have to look at all the options and note that I believe in miracles and what you say is a miracle that happened to the person.

Thank you for the understanding, I'm not really in support to that, even people who are in pain would be saying they don't want to die yet why forcing it

they don't want to be a burden any longer not because they really want it and the decision can be complicated if the patient is with depression.

Thanks for this lovely point, majority of those that wish for death didn't want to be a burden to their loved ones that is why they wish for it. Actually, it helps to shorten pain but I can termed it as committing suicide.

I believe in miracles, the divine might decide to smile on the dying patient so as to have perfect healing. Nice post lady
