Trip To Bandung Part 2- Visiting Al Jabbar Grand Mosque

I arrived at Leuwi Panjang bus station at 18.30. Then I waited for an hour in a coffee shop. My brother came to pick me up. Then, I stayed at my brother's house. Bandung was still cold at night.

In the morning, I walked around. My brother's house was closed to a train station and Al Jabbar Grand Mosque.

The train station was only two minutes on foot from my brother's house. The air was cold and fresh. It was not the main train station but it was a small station on the side of Bandung city.

My brother took me to Al Jabbar Grand Mosque that morning. We drove to the mosque at 9.00 o'clock in the morning. The location was only five minutes by car.

Al Jabbar Grand Mosque was officially opened in December, 2022 by Ridwan Kamil, the governor of West Java Province.
The Al Jabbar Grand Mosque was built on a retention pond (embung) covering an area of 25.9879 hectares.

There are thousands of visitors everyday according to my brother. The mosque will turn off the light at 22.00 p.m. The design of the building is the combination of local and Turkish style.

the day was very hot but that didn't dampen my enthusiasm for going around the mosque building. There were a lot of school students from other cities in West Java who visited the mosque.

It was the selfie time. There were more visitors who took the moment to take photos with with the building as the background.

My brother, my son and I went to the first floor. There were many rooms on the first floor. There were halls, a library, and classrooms.

The interior design was very unique. The lighting made the rooms more alive.

My brother and I took photos in front of the entrance of the first floor. We should put off our shoes to enter the first floor.
Then, I went to the main room of the mosque. It was on the second floor. The design was very artistic.

The room was air conditioned. The carpet was thick and clean. The ceiling was well designed with amazing motives.

There were some visitors who took dhuha prayer there. The main room could accomodate 33,000 people.

Then, I got down to the terrace and walked to the parking area. It was around 10.30 o'clock but the sunlight was shining brightly.

Al Jabbar mosque has been a new tourists' destination in Bandung. The government also builds the roads to acces the location. The economy becomes alive. There are more people who open shops near the mosque.

After feeling tired, My brother, my son and I decided to go home. We went to Leuwi Panjang bus station. Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy my story.
