Why You Might Want to Also Use the Verify Your Brain Tribe's Tag in Your Learn to Code Post

First, to clear up a little confusion, one of the Learn to Code tribe tags is #learntocode, like the tribe name. The #learn2code tag is not a tribe tag and is not indexed by the reward pool for BYTE token payout.

The Learn to Code tribe tags can be found in our whitepaper.

One of the details in the BYTE token whitepaper is that BYTE token has an 8-day payout. This is different from most Hive Engine tokens, which have a 7-day or shorter payout window.

Another token which has an 8-day payout is VYB, the token of the Verify Your Brain tribe. The VYB tribe, unlike Learn to Code currently, has a domain dedicated to posts which use the Verify Your Brain tribe's tags: https://www.vybrainium.com/

Most of our Learn to Code members have already figured out that using the STEMGeeks' tribe tags helps them to expand the range of their posts to another tribe which would also be interested in their content and for potential upvotes. By using either #vyb or #verifyyourbrain as another tag for your Learn to Code post, you can extend the range of your post even further on Hive. Also, your post will be able to get both BYTE and VYB staked token upvotes for an additional 8th day after most tokens have already paid out after 7 days.

One caveat for this tip is not to self-vote your own posts. The Verify Your Brain whitepaper makes it clear that self-voting is frowned upon by the Verify Your Brain tribe. Shortly before I started writing this post, I realized that means that from now on I have to keep in mind that when @learn2code uses a VYB tag in a post, I can't upvote the post using @holovision or @holovision.stem.

They won't downvote you through vybrainium.com if you upvote your own post because vybrainium.com doesn't have a downvote option. They can, however, mute your account as stated in their whitepaper:

Downvotes will not be necessary because all enforcement of the tribe’s community standards will be handled using Hive-Engine’s tribe-wide ‘mute’ function.

It's their tribe, and we have to be mindful of that if you or I want to get an extra day for our post to potentially receive VYB and BYTE upvotes from being displayed on vybrainium.com.
