BUILDING THE RIGHT RELATIONSHIPS

The right relationships have a way of bringing out the very best in a person, this only means that the wrong relationships can bring out the worst in people and even break them at the end of the day. I say this because I've experienced both sides of the coin and I would never wish my enemy to be in the wrong relationship. There are however some sets of people who believe that no relationship at all is best and therefore pursue a career with everything they got and all end up the same way. Lonely at the end of the day with all the money in the world to spend but no one to spend it on or enjoy it with.

Life is short, so short that for every decision we make, we can't control how time passes us while we enjoy or suffer the consequences. I'm of the notion that however we get to live life, having at least one person to live it with makes the memories more fulfilling. But apart from the memories, I'm also of the notion that the right relationships would open doors money can never open, so if you just happen to find yourself in the right relationship, count yourself lucky. I've heard a few people who chased money and career wanting to make a name for themselves for most parts of their lives of which they actually did say if they had the opportunity, they would have gone for that right relationship.

Most of these people at one time in their lives had those kinda relationships but blew it because they thought they were pursuing something big, and their partner could have never been able to comprehend that big dream they had. My dad for example was one of such, someone who chased money all his life and left his kids and wife until he gained it all, got into the wrong relationships and lost it all again. His story taught me that achievements can be lost, but the relationships we build can never be lost, not even after death because the products of those relationships will always remain.

I love it when I'm being disturbed even though I don't show it all the time, I love it when that special someone calls me to check up on me in the middle of a busy day, it brings some kind of refreshing that words can not describe. It's like drinking cold water in the heat of the day or hot coffee in the cold. All I'm saying is that I think it's possible to find a balance between a relationship (when it's the right one) and a career. Especially when you find a partner ready to support you and give you all the love you need, just find a way to be available for them instead of being a juck and ruining the relationship because you feel you are giving up something for another. It doesn't have to be so if your dreams are right and you find the right someone to support them, and you are ready to give in the same support to them, it's a lot of work, but it's worth every bit of it.
