You are screwed no matter what you do.

I like to think that nobody should have the power to make another person's life miserable without it snapping back at them in ways that are beyond imagination. That's why I believe in cliches like the Golden Rule and Karma. The world would surely be so much better if everyone gets to face the consequences of their action.

Imagine if every action generates an instant consequence, how many bullies would still be in this world? How many criminals will still be out there? How many Uniform folks will still be misusing their power to make people's lives miserable?

Oh, Uniform Men!

Y'all have done too much. You've gone too far in your actions and it's a pity that the same people who are supposed to protect are now the ones making people's life miserable. You know them, right? The Police and others in their category.

One of the things that always terrifies me about dealing with uniform men in my country is that I've seen a lot of people who have very sad and pitiful tales to tell about an experience they had with our uniform men and I've also witnessed these terrifying incidents. I actually have a complex view of these folks and it probably has to do with the fact that I have a Dad who I respect so much and he also served the country for 35 years as a uniform man. Despite growing under the watchful eyes of my Dad who's also a Uniform man, I still find a lot of such people to be detestable in the approach they take when they are on duty.

Do you know that a lot of people in Prison are there because they were framed by someone in Uniform and forced to confess to a crime they didn't commit? How about the folks that their properties were ~~confiscated~~ stolen by these men in uniform? What sort of Police stops young folks and forces them to give them money for no just cause?

A terrifying experience I witnessed

I had an unforgettable experience with them in the second quarter of 2021 when I was on a long-distance travel. I already know from experience that our Police set-up checkpoints to dig through people's phones in order to find any Picture, App, or just anything that will make them tag you an internet fraudster.

Well, I've never defrauded anyone and I don't intend to do that anytime. So, I should be safe, right?

Nah! That's not the case!

As far as our uniform men are concerned, being a Crypto Bro or someone who earns from basically anything online qualifies you as a fraudster. This goes without saying that any record of a Crypto transaction that's visible on my phone would be enough 'evidence' in their eyes. Once they see anything related to Crypto, you will be dragged through all sorts of bullsh*t.

Just because of my background and the level of experience I have with these folks, I always know how to navigate their search. I do this by freezing all crypto-related Apps on my phone and I never forget to do that whenever I'm stepping out of my door. It works all the time and it also worked on that particular journey, but the Policemen found Binance App on the phone of one of the guys who was on the same bus with me.

Wow! All hell was let loose that day.

This incident happened on a deserted road and the Police were not in uniform. They just wore Jeans, Black Polo and some combat gigs and each of them was heavily armed. Of course, they were not ready to hear anything from the guy. They just tagged him 'a fraudster' and interestingly defrauded him of the BTC in his wallet.

This was a terrifying experience for the guy, but it was also the same for us witnessing the whole incident because, at some point, they had a gun pointed at him and threatened to "waste" him if he didn't do as they said. If it ever got to the point of opening fire on him, I'm very sure nobody on the scene would escape after witnessing that incident.

That's exactly how some of our Police operate and it's a pity that the negative PR the police force are getting is affecting some decent ones in the Force. I know there are good ones in their midst, but the bad ones have gone too far in their power-hungry and trigger-happy attitude.

I don't like policemen for any reason.
I can remember the day I was arrested while walking on the road and taken to the police station at Ketu Ojota.
I tried to contact my parent that night and was surprised when my parents came and this policeman lied that they arrested me while a guy was romancing me on the road beside a bus.
Thank God my parents know the kind of daughter they have, I was bailed that night and my parent never mentioned anything about it again.
Nigeria police are terrible. 💔💔💔
