The Prayer Of One Who Watches [Poetry]

The power of words to heal are undeniable,
Beautifully moulding hearts shattered by the cruel choices of men.
Like dancing fairies, they swirl to form a vibrant chord,
Charming the darkest souls with the light.

The shrivelled soul writhes in pain from intense tongue lashing,
When one wields the power of words,
Anger and hate curls its way through and spears the heart,
Ripping, without reverence for empathy and understanding.

The softest whispers ensues from a most calming voice,
Its echoes reverberate, running tremors through me.
Enchanting even, and I'm swayed to listen,
So my aching heart may be pacified.

Such soothing words are a gift to disperse,
To heal as many hurting souls.
That their faces may be illuminated
Like golden globes floating in the sun's ethereal light.

The prayers of One who watches,
May every word chime like a lyrical trance,
To ignite minds to courage and love,
To heal souls and bridge gaps where hopelessness endures
And the world is set free into a boundless sea of possibilities.

Words truly are powerful, they can bring succor to those in pain, soothes an sorrowful heart, can build up and encourage, can breakdown and dampen ones mode and can bring calm to a troubled soul. Depends on the choice of word and usage. A thoughtful poem, I must say.

Thanks so much for your visit and comment! Indeed our words are powerful. They're weapons for us to use but how we use them is of great importance. Do we heal or damage with them? Hehe. I'm glad you found this piece thoughtful. !PIMP 🙂

The influence that one person has on another or others is measured according to their power of conviction, let me explain, some people have so much charisma, they know how to use words so well that they convince just by saying something and staring at people so that they are convinced ,of something that is not even real

You're right. I've seen people like this. They are so eloquent and used the power of the words to either build up and pull down people! Thanks so much for your comment and visit.
