The thirst is gone and the festive period is activated.
Eid Fitr is a big festival righteous Muslim observe at the end of fasting in the month of Ramadan. People come together to celebrate, wine and dine.
The day of Eid Fitr is the first day of Shawwal(the eleventh month of the lunar calendar).
One thing non-muslims don't understand about the timing of the fasting during the month of Ramadan and getting the festive period is the sighting of crescent.
The Islamic month which is established with the lunar calendar is either 29 or 30 days. If the crescent of the next month isn't sighted on the 29th day of the month, then the month will have 30 days and the next month will start the day that follows the 30th day.
The festival is a worship and every active Muslim must observe it with the already established fact from the scripture.

Attending the Eid prayer

No one is exempted from attending the Eid prayer except for people that are sick. The prayer is done on the field in the early hours of the day. We are required to supplicate (Allah is great, Allah is great, Allah is great, There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, Allah is great, Allah is great, All thanks belong to Allah) from the night of the last day of fasting till the time imam start the prayer on Eid day.
The praying ground is always located at the outskirts of the city; every Muslims living in the environment will converge there.
Once the imam arrived and spotted a huge crowd, he commenced the prayer with the crowd, although he may decide to wait. People will still come late though.
After the praying section, imam will give sermon, address people on viral misconduct and misconception about Islam. People will wait till the end of the sermon. After the long lecture, he will pray for the country, the city and the people living within.

Wine and Dine

Once we leave the mosque on Eid day everybody gathers at their house and eats a delicious meal, some will share their food with neighbors and non-muslims.
There are restrictions on eating and drinking.
Islam forbid drinking Alcohol and it's kind, on days like this people are to avoid staying in places like bar and drinking joint and also avoid taking alcohol.
People go out with their families to amusement parks, zoological gardens, supermarkets and eateries to make it fun filled.

Thanks for reading through 😘
