Best Starter Cards to Level Up for Silver League - Untamed edition

Hey Guys, it's been a while since I made a new post. For this one, I will be sharing my own version of best Starter cards to level up specifically for Untamed edition cards. Maybe you were thinking why this is important to use a higher level starter cards rather than focusing on cards that are not included in the starter or free to play cards. This is actually related to the recent updates from Townhall that we will be seeing in a while.

• Using Starter cards will reduce your Ranked battle earnings
• Introduction of Modern format which only allows Untamed and Chaos Legion edition cards (which are currently included in the Started cards for Common and Rare cards).

The criteria I will be using is very simple, if I will pick 1 or 2 max level cards for Silver league and for each Splinter, what would it be.

FIRE - UNTAMED Edition

1st Pick: Serpentine Spy

SERPENTINE SPY is one of the deadliest monster from FIRE Splinter with Opportunity ability. At level 5, it has 3 Melee damage, 5 Speed, and 2 HP.

I picked this one as my priority is because of the high speed and high damage with only 3 mana. It works best with the Summoner TARSA.

It's one of the deadliest monster especially in a low mana battles or in a Little League ruleset.

2nd Pick: Living Lava

LIVING LAVA is one of the go to TANK for FIRE Splinter with Shield ability. At level 4, it has 3 Melee damage, 3 Armor, and 8 HP.

I picked this one as my 2nd priority because of the high usage of this monster. The only time you will replace this one with Antoid Platoon is because of low mana battle.

WATER - UNTAMED Edition

1st Pick: Serpent of Eld

SERPENT OF ELD is one of the go to TANK for WATER Splinter with Dodge ability. At level 4, it has 4 Melee damage, 5 Speed, and 7 HP.

I picked this one as my 1st priority because of the high chance of evading attacks because of its ability and high Speed. It also works best with the Summoner KELYA FRENDUL.

2nd Pick: Giant Squid

GIANT SQUID is a ranged monster with Blind ability at level 4. It also has 2 Melee damage, 2 Speed, 1 Armor, and 5 HP.

The BLIND ability works well to increase your chance of evading attacks. This gives your enemies a 15% chance to missed their attacks.

BLIND (15%) + DODGE (25%) = 40% Chance to missed their attacks. Combine it with high Speed monster which can gain additional 10% chance per speed difference is very difficult to land an attack.

EARTH - UNTAMED Edition

1st Pick: Khmer Princess

KHMER PRINCESS is one of the low mana magic monster from EARTH Splinter with Tank Heal ability at level 4. It is best combine with other Healers from Earth Splinter.

I picked this one as my 1st priority because of the magic damage, Tank Heal, and low mana requirement. It works best with the Summoner OBSIDIAN.

2nd Pick: Failed Summoner

FAILED SUMMONER is a no-attack monster with high HP. It is used as a pseudo tanks and a counter against magic monsters as well. The Magic Reflect ability returns magic damage back to magic attacker. It's also a low mana monster with only 2 mana requirement.

LIFE - UNTAMED Edition

1st Pick: Lone Boatman

LONE BOATMAN is one of the ranged monster from LIFE Splinter with Snipe ability at its initial level and an Armor Repair ability at level 4. With the Summoner General Sloan, it's damage is further increase.

2nd Pick: Herbalist

HERBALIST is a ranged monster with low mana requirement. It has a Cleanse ability at level 3. At Silver League (Modern format) Life Splinter, only Herbalist has the Cleanse ability which is very helpful in Poison rule or to counter debuffs from enemies.

DEATH - UNTAMED Edition

1st Pick: Death Elemental

DEATH ELEMENTAL is one of the magic monster from DEATH Splinter with Snipe ability at its initial level and a Silence ability at level 4. Combine with the Summoner THADDIUS BROOD, this will greatly reduced the magic damage of enemy monsters.

2nd Pick: Dark Astronomer

DARK ASTRONOMER is a ranged monster with low mana requirement. It has a Shatter ability at level 4 which destroys armors of enemy monster when hit. This is a good counter against monsters with high armor.

NEUTRAL - UNTAMED Edition

1st Pick: Elven Mystic

ELVEN MYSTIC is one of the magic monster from NEUTRAL Splinter which learns Silence ability at level 4. Since it is a Neutral monster, it can be combine in any Splinter to counter a heavy magic monster line-up. It's best used with Obsidian (Earth) to amplify its magic damage, or with Thaddius Brood (Death) summoner to fully negate magic damage of enemy monsters.

2nd Pick: Elven Defender

ELVEN DEFENDER is a melee monster with high health and armor. This monster gains a Shield ability at level 5 which is very helpful against melee only battles. This can be partner with TARSA, KELYA FRENDUL, or even with QUIX THE DEVIOUS. Can be a good substitute for Living Lava incase its not available due to rule restriction or you need a monter with a higher speed.

There are other cards that are also good to level up aside from the list I shown above. Also, I highly suggest to use max level cards allowed per league to take full advantage.
