The Magic Word For Entrepreneurs

I thought it wouyld be a good idea to follow up yesterdays post!

'Keep on, keeping on!'

That was the message right? Seems to simple to say but much more difficult to put into action. Sure things get easier the more we do them, but what is the 'science' behind it.

Digging into my old journal, I think I have the answer for that...

IMG_4870.jpg

Cool quote huh?

I actually came up with that in like 2016 or something...I know, I know, sometimes I even surprise myself :)

But enough about my creative genius lol Let's break this down and see how this quote really puts it into perspective, how we can measure our growth day to day.

Action.

The magic word right?

As an entrepreneur, personal development student, life long learner and general noob in all things tech...Action speaks much louder than words. Action is what matters day in and day out. Here's why....

Reading a great book about building businesses online?

Absolutely useless unless you put what you learn into action! This truly is what separates the excuse makers to the successful entrepreneurs.

But wait...There's more!

The quote goes onto say, that action breeds results. And we know that but exactly how does it generate results for us?

Here's where we learn that confidence doesn't mean that you strut around with your chest puffed out. There is no ego and pride here. What confidence does for an entrepreneur is it allows them to be o.k. with failure. When you fail a few times (and it doesn't kill you) you understand the process, you have learned from it and you pick yourself up and keep moving forward.

The more of this 'picking up' you do, the results start to increase which turns into more confidence to....

And here's the money shot. Are you ready?

To keep TRYING new things!

A little story quickly before we hammer this point home....

We started building businesses on the blockchain about 5 years ago or so. In our little side of the internet, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE was into crypto back then. They said it was a scam, that we were foolish and we wouldn't last the year.

But we kept trying things....

Sure, not everything we did was a huge success. Anyone remember Bitcoin Bully? lol

But we grew in our confidence when it came to building and bringing people to the blockchain. Heck, look at Blain now, he's a Hive expert lol We were o.k. to try new things and fail every now and again. And what's pretty funny, a lot of those same people in affiliate marketing and online marketing are now 'all in on crypto'....5 years after we introduced them to it!

The point is, action breeds the results while fuelling your confidence to experiment.....

That's one of my favorite quotes of all time from Herb Kelleher, the old CEO of Southwest Airlines. There's a reason I have it behind my desk for all to see every time I'm on camera and to remind myself...

The entrepreneur...Does things. They take action every single day. They know, they may fail. But they are o.k. with it. Because they know, at the end of the day most of their competition won't take action, it'll be easier for them to stick out and most of all....They'll build the confidence to keep showing up and throwing things against the wall.

You never know what may stick ;)

Totally make sense, there was a long time ago since I have written a post but already 20 days in and starting to feel that its getting easier for me to create written content than day first, Im not saying Im getting better its just the practice of constantly writing a 1000+ word post every day and keep engaging with others, just keep on keeping on, thx for sharing ✌️

Oh for sure, it gets so much easier. The more we do it, it's like building muscle. We get stronger and stronger.

The good example of it is learning the bicycle. In the starting we never let our attention out of the road ahead and the handle of the cycle. But as time passes, it becomes a habit, we can talk, listen to things and look around the beauty while driving. Our mind get trained to do the harder things as time passes.

So true! Observation is just one way we learn, actually doing things...Greatest teacher!

Being ok with a failure is a necessity. You can't do any good if you are not going to be any good with the failure. Hive kind of gives you the runaway for this. Like you take some time and effort to establish and then earning starts here. So being okay with that adds up patience and also that failure also helps out being realistic. In short being realistic is the key :)

Patience is so needed. Because of the nature of compounding too...Investing time and effort into this stuff, compounds.

This is the simple magic that many people miss. Hoping or waiting on something wouldn't get things done. Action will. Taking action despite the uncertainty and odds. That's what really brings progress. I strive more progress more than I strive for perfection.

It's the secret sauce for real. Nothing to buy, no training needed...Just put things into action!

I agree. It's better to just get started and learn through experience because people tend to learn more because of it. You won't get anywhere if you just sit around doing nothing and hive rewards you for being active.

I agree, we must keep moving forward, the road might be rough but we must keep trying and the more we try the more we get better at the things we do.

Nothing better than showing up every day, putting in the effort and seeing it pay off down the road.

Great stuff. It sends my mind in a lot of different directions. Some of it feels Biblical (faith without works is dead), some of it makes me think of the Grateful Dead (Keep Trucking). Definitely what a long strange trip it's been! :) Great inspiration. Especially in the cold winter months when things slow way down. Literally and figuratively!

lol Too funny. Just did a bible study with the family about that exact topic, faith without works is dead.

We are the fruits of our labor....On Hive especially!

I love this quote, the more things you try, The more experience you can get and with this experience and lesson you have learned from failures , you can do big things in the future.

I want to say here that if we want to be a successful person then first of all we have to set our life goals and then we have to work day and night on it then we can become a successful person in this world if we like this If we don't do it and just keep working hard, we still cannot succeed.

Write those goals down too, you'll be blown away at how much more you can accomplish
