A Quick Tip For All Your Content Creation Needs..

We made a post a few hours ago on @ctptalk where we introduced our brand new challenge...

The CTP Tribe loves doing these kind of events because it's actionable steps that anyone on the blockchain can take part in. This edition of our challenge is called the 'Grind!'...

=> You can read more about it right here!

The basic idea is that we need to be building daily habits that will increase our brand awareness and develop a strong following on all social media, specifically something like the blockchain.

One of the daily steps we encourage participants to engage in is...Daily content creation!

For some...This comes naturally. They can find a topic and create something awesome for the community to read or watch. For others...It's a struggle.

So tonight, I thought I'd share with you a sneaky little tip I've been using for years that helps when I need some inspiration for content.

Pay attention to the comment section!

One of the reasons we have extensive training within the CTP eco-system about engagement through commenting is because of the wealth of information and inspiration you will find..Just by reading what others think!

Yes, it's a given that you should be MAKING comments and interacting with the community as much as possible, but the key to this trick is to observe. Read what's on the mind of the people commenting on a topic. Find the in-depth discussions and follow along, you will be blown away at what you will discover.

rfr3f3.png

(One of my recent posts had 67 comments...I'm sure you will find some amazing discussions from the community!)

I think inspiration comes from our daily activity so the more active we are within the community, especially in the comment sections, the easier it will be to find something you can create content about!

Think about it...

There is a reason people are going back and forth in the comment section. Maybe they are disagreeing about a topic. Or sharing different experiences or even shared experiences, but the point is this...The community finds VALUE in discussing a topic which means you can tap into that passion and bring the conversation to your blog.

Passion hacking!

That's what we will brand this as LOL

But seriously, it works wonders...But again, this doesn't work at all if you aren't showing up every day, rolling up your sleeves and READING what others are thinking.

newlistnerdslogo.png

I think part of the excitement that comes with projects like ListNerds is as a content discovery tool, we can get exposed to a wide range of topics...And tap into that 'passion' that is shared. And with our new 'secret project' that's being developed right now, finding amazing discussions and content will be even easier than ever before on Hive!

NUGGET: Or how about tapping into the always lively discussions found on @leomarkettalk

What an amazing resource that could be as well!

The point being....

Not finding something to write about is just an excuse. We have some many amazing resources and potential for inspiration right here on chain....So now is the time to discovery something you have a passion for and CREATE!!!!

Great top Jon!!! The comment section is the holy grail of ideas. I often find cool information, mind-blowing ideas, and new projects/tools in the comments.

Jon, agreed on all points. It's so damn difficult to be consistent though 😬
Inspiration is not problem at all for me, it's the determination to "show up everyday" as you point out here.

But you got to put in the reps if you want results right?!
I love this quote:

Yup...That's the out of sight, out of mind problem that arises. People forget you if you aren't in front of them consistently. Not their fault, they are just bombarded with so much!

My opinion is that creating content everyday might be detrimental, it may result in many subpar post. I would encourage less but higher quality content with more rewards for comments. However, I know in the age of twitter and microblogging this idea may be outdated.

Oh for sure, writing war and peace every day isn't for everyone. But content doesnt have to be, a 2000 word blog post these days :)

The comment section is a great place to look at but I have been skipping it lately due to time constraints. Once things settle down and I have more free time, I will be hitting that section up.

I love reading the comment
sections, different perspectives converge about a particular topic giving out tons of information you can expand on.

I often find it harder to write due to the day job. I feel like documenting what is happening in our daily life can be one of the way to get rid of the writers block. I feel like doing the ctpgrind challenge. I would love to put out my webmaster, SEO and the analytics knowledge into writing during this challenge. Something new to try out :)

I actually had an entire idea for a training module in the old CTP platform...From waiting in line at a local Wal Mart. I got an idea from it, and got inspired to create around it. So much potential to get ideas if we take a look!

Hi @jongolson
There are many helpful suggestions in this post of yours.
I fully agree with you Interacting and reading comments is a way to expand our knowledge and often it is also a way to discuss our ideas and produce new ideas and reasoning.
I personally like to write content and I often have a lot of ideas but my problem in the last period is time because between work and family the time to dedicate to Hive is less and less but writing on Hive I like too much...

Today I finally joined ListNerds and I wanted to congratulate you on the idea and the project which I think is very good and has potential.
After trying it out I will write a post about it.

I just have one question about it.
Are the email links I receive in the Inbox section all pre-checked that they do not contain malicious code?

Thank you, thats a great tip, I would like to add to write each idea in a note pad immediately, just one word mostly is enough to remeber it, by time there is a great idea pool to use when its time for a post
;-) Although I also had moments writing a whole post in my phones notepad
!LOL and this comment is an idea for a whole post ;-)
