Five whole episodes published!

A few days ago I published the final part of Episode 5 to the Scholar and Scribe community. I don't know how many words that is for Hunting Midnight, but I'd estimate it is well over novel length (40K).

Usually I leap right into the next episode, but I've decided to slow things down a little bit. There are big life changes incoming for me at the end of this year, so I want to make sure I have my priorities balanced.

Episode Six: The Lobster Manifesto, is complete less a few rough patches that I should probably edit. Episode Seven: Summit of the Manyrealms, is almost complete. There are two-ish more episodes in the series that I need to write in order to close the current story arcs.

With this in mind, my goal in the remainder of 2023 is to get Episode 6 published here on Hive, then take time needed to ensure the rest of the story can be properly delivered for both the sake of my Readers and the characters alike.

I also want to spend some time using this intellectual property to see if I can bring new readership to Hive.

With over a novel's worth of story freely available here on the chain, I want to syndicate (aka republish, but with credit to Hive) at least the first three episodes on other serial story platforms. From the big ones like Wattpad and Reddit to the more obscure (but passionate) places like Royal Road and Sufficient Velocity.

Hunting Midnight is a spunky and spooky serial story, and it is also an experiment with blockchain self-publishing. It's proof that Hive can support this kind of entertainment and media, so I do want to spend some time exploring how to tell the world about it.

And stay tuned for The Lobster Manifesto. In many ways, it's my favourite in the series as it contains scenes that were written many months (maybe years?) before I threw Deluxe and Alena into their current chaotic situation.
