Who doesn't know Regal Peryton? Since the arrival of Chaos Legion it is common to see it in all Earth Splinter decks. Its incredible stats and abilities make this card a must-have for any Splinterlands player who is going to play with a strategy based on cards with magic power. With a mana cost of 5 points, it has 1 point of magic attack, 5 points of speed and 6 points of life, all at level 1.

¿Quién no conoce a Regal Peryton? Desde la llegada de Chaos Legion es común verla en todos los mazos del Splinter Tierra. Sus increíbles estadísticas y habilidades hacen de ésta carta imprescindible a cualquier jugador de Splinterlands que vaya a jugar con una estrategia a base de cartas con poder mágico. Con un coste de maná de 5 puntos, dispone de 1 punto de ataque mágico, 5 puntos de velocidad y 6 puntos de vida, todo ello a nivel 1.

In his evolution tree we can see how from level 1 he has the Flying skill, the only one he will learn as he goes up the levels. What he will gradually improve are his speed, attack and life stats as we can see in the image.

En su árbol de evolución podemos observar como desde el nivel 1 dispone de la habilidad Flying la única que aprenderá a lo largo de los niveles que vaya subiendo. Lo que sí irá mejorando gradualmente son sus estadísticas de velocidad, ataque y vida como vemos en la imagen.

Regal Peryton is a very useful card due to its Flying ability and its high speed that will make it dodge many of the enemy's attacks. If we add to this its magic attack that can be boosted with Obsidian summoner and its high life, this creature is indispensable for both low and high Leagues.

Regal Peryton es una carta muy útil debido a su habilidad Flying y su elevada velocidad que hará que esquive muchos de los ataques del enemigo. Si a esto sumamos su ataque mágico que podemos potenciar con la invocadora Obsidian y su alta vida, hacen de esta criatura indispensable tanto para Ligas bajas como altas.

This time I have selected a low mana battle. Both my opponent and I use Splinter Earth with the card Regal Peryton. While he opts to use mostly melee attack creatures and I prefer to focus my strategy with magic attack creatures.

Summoner: Obsidian

The selected summoner is Obsidian since I am going to use creatures with magical attacks and I want to enhance their attacks.

La invocadora seleccionada es Obsidian ya que voy a usar criaturas con ataques mágicos y quiero potenciar sus ataques.

Position 1: Fungus Fiend

First position for Fungus Fiend, a 0 cost creature of mana that will help receiving the first hit and protect the creatures behind.

Primera posición para Fungus Fiend, criatura de coste 0 de mána y que ayudará recibiendo el primer golpe y proteger a las criaturas de detrás.

Position 2: Regal Peryton

In second position I will put Regal Peryton to withstand Blast attacks and protect the creatures behind her.

En segunda posición pondré a Regal Peryton para aguantar los ataques Blast y proteger a las criaturas que van por detrás de ella.

Position 3: Queen Mycelia

The best card of the Splinter Earth of Chaos Legion. For only 4 mana a creature with magic attack and that offers Shield to all our creatures.

Position 4: Khmer Princess

And in last position will be Khmer Princess, it only costs 2 mana points and has magic attack, perfect for low mana conditions. We must also protect her because she is very weak.

Y en última posición estará Khmer Princess, solo cuesta 2 puntos de maná y tiene ataque mágico, perfecta para condiciones de bajo maná. Además debemos protegerla porque es muy débil.

Combat comments: My enemy makes the mistake of using weak creatures in the first positions. In the first turn I eliminate 2 of his first creatures and he destroys my Fungus Fiend as expected. At the end of the first turn the Earthquake causes 2 points of damage which leaves my enemy very damaged. I avoid the damage thanks to the Shield that Queen Mycelia gives me.

Mi enemigo comete el error de usar criaturas débiles en las primeras posiciones. En el primer turno elimino a 2 de sus primeras criaturas y él destruye a mi Fungus Fiend como cabía esperar. Al finalizar el primer turno el Earthquake causa 2 puntos de daño lo que deja muy perjudicado a mi enemigo. Yo evito el daño gracias al Shield que me da Queen Mycelia.

The second turn passes quickly with my enemy very touched and me hitting mercilessly thanks to my magic attack creatures. So without being able to defend myself I finish off all his creatures in the blink of an eye.

El segundo turno transcurre rápidamente con mi enemigo muy tocado y yo golpeando sin piedad gracias a mis criaturas de ataque mágico. Así que sin poder defenderse termino con todas sus criaturas en un abrir y cerrar de ojos.

It was a really easy fight with no option for my enemy to win the fight.

Ha sido un combate realmente sencillo sin ninguna opción para que mi enemigo pudiera ganar el combate.

My opinion

Regal Peryton is one of the many essential cards of the Chaos Legion edition, very playable and great performance. It is also easy to get in the market and we can level it up without problems.

Regal Peryton es una de las muchas cartas imprescindibles de la edición Chaos Legion, muy jugable y gran rendimiento. Además es fácil de conseguir en el mercado y podemos subirla de nivel sin problemas.

Cards like this definitely make it easier for novice players to stand up to more experienced players with better cards.

Definitivamente cartas como esta hacen que los jugadores novatos puedan hacer frente a otros jugadores más veteranos y con mejores cartas.
