Sometimes I regret not being vocal, I wish I had said what I wanted to say before my father passed away, so that at least, he knew that he was also valued and loved despite his being strict with us.

Exactly what happened to me. My grandma was all I had but she never knew I valued and cherish her because I never said a nice word or even appreciate her till she passed away unexpectedly.
