It's a fitting time for a Memorial service for a Veteran who served in the Korean war. This Monday is "Memorial Day", for many it's the first day of summer, pools open, etc. But for anyone involved with the military or family in military, Memorial Day is a somber day of remembrance.

The ceremony was held at a Veteran's cemetery, in a well-kept pavilion by the water. It's quick, less than 20 minutes, and they move us all out for another family's memorial service.

I don't think there was a dry eye in the place. After a few speeches, we all get in our cars and drive about 30 minutes to the resturant.

We had the entire upper room to ourselves and the food and service was top notch.

We had the room for a few hours and the family shared memories of their dad and grand-dad and even great-grand-dad.

The children enjoyed exploring the Inn, looking out the window and seeing the caaars.

The food is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect.
