Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge - The Armored Up Ruleset

Hello all Splinterlands warlocks, I am thrilled to be back active here once again, after a long inactivity with my blogging, I am excited to write here and participate in the Splinterlands weekly challenge. Today, I write to participate in the battle mage secrets weekly challenge and for this week, we have the ARMORED UP as our ruleset. Stay tuned and watch out for my entry here in this battle.

Before we commence with the battle, we have to briefly discuss the ruleset of the battle we are going to have.

ARMORED UP All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat. Use magic attacks, but the opponent will do the same, so focus on HP. Is countered by Rust or Wizard of Eastwood's summoner ability.
Equal Opportunity All Monsters have the Opportunity ability. Speed and HP are the trick here: higher speed will let you target the enemy's low HP monster first, opening the way for your slower monsters to deal damage to higher HP enemy monsters. Keep lower HP monsters in front. Monsters who have two attack types should always be preferred.
)
Explosive Weaponary All Monsters have the Blast ability. The best strategy is to have fast monsters with Snipe, Sneak, and Opportunity. For defense, Shield and Void will come in handy.

Summoner Used: FRANZ RUFFMANE

I used the Franz Ruffmane Summoner which increases all monsters by one armor protection. This summoner costs 6 mana and it is a level two card, it also allows players to add one Gladius monster. With my line-up, I had five monsters and they were the Iziar, Time Mage, Meriput Magician, Captain Katie, and Dox Dragon. My opponent had six monsters in his lineup, including Iziar, Gargoya Scrapper, Vulguine, Captain Katie, Venari Crystalsmith, and Ajax Lightfoot. The Zyriel monster gave both adjacent monsters range attacks ability and that was a plus for my opponent to win against me.

Battle Rounds

First: In the first round, all monsters took effect from the summoners respectively by gaining additional armor protection. First of all, the Ajax Lightfoot monster with the highest speed attacked the Iziar monster first followed by a magic attack from my Time Mage monster.

Subsequent attacks from my opponent's monsters reduced my Iziar monster's health to 8 after which the attack from my opponent's Captain Katie was able to eliminate one of my monsters with the aid of the blast ability (ruleset). At the end of the round, my Time Mage monster was eliminated from my team lineup.

Second: In the second round, as usual, my opponent's Ajax Lightfoot monster attacked my Iziar monster and also did damage to my second-position monster with the blast ability effect. My opponent's Iziar monster attacked mine after which I reciprocated with a magic attack as well.

Meriput Magician monster healed part of my Iziar monster's health. My Captain Katie monster was able to eliminate one of my opponent's monsters with the aid of the blast effect. At the end of the round, we were both left with four monsters each.

Third:

With one attack from the Ajax Lightfoot monster, he was able to take down my Meriput Magician monster with explosive ability. His Captain Katie also attacked and eliminated my Iziar monster in this round.

At the end of the round, I was left with two monsters in my lineup with no hope of winning the battle.

Fourth:

The Ajax Lightfoot monster first attacked and damaged the armor of the Captain Katie monster after which my opponent Captain Katie Montser attacked and eliminated the last position monster.

Iziar monster then attacked and eliminated my Captain Katie without any of my monsters attacking in this round.

The battle did not go further from this stage and I was defeated in four rounds. I would say it was embarrassing but my team was a good one although he had a lot of opportunity monsters that gave him the chance to win me so easily.

That was not a challenging battle for me, but I have learned my lesson and I am hoping to put together a great team next time when the same ruleset is given again. Check out the battle link here
