Es gibt viele Mythen und Sagen über das Fotografieren und diese verunsichern viel Einsteiger in ein tolles Hobby. Heute möchte ich euch die 5 Mythen zeigen, die völliger Blödsinn sind.

1. Mit einer teureren Kamera mache ich bessere Fotos. - I take better photos with a more expensive camera.
Das ist ein Fotografie-Mythos, den höre ich immer öfters und diese ist eine Lüge. Die Kamera ist immer nur so gut, wie der Fotograf, der sie bedient! Der Profifotograf kann, mit einer einfachen Kamera wunderschöne Bilder fotografieren, während der Anfänger, durch den Kauf einer teuren Kamera, nicht plötzlich besten Fotos macht. Es kommt vielmehr auf die Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten des Fotografen an. Diese kann man sich durch viel Übung, Ausprobieren und Erfahrung aneignen. Nur nicht aufgeben. Ein Profifotograf wird man nicht über Nacht.

2. Fotografieren ist eine einfache Angelegenheit! - Photography is a simple matter!

Fotografieren ist alles andere als einfach. Wer was anderes sagt, hat keine Erfahrung. Selbst nach 3 Jahren, die ich mit der Kamera aktiv unterwegs bin, mache immer noch sehr viele schlechte Fotos. Heute fallen mir immer noch viel Fehler, in meinen Fotos auf, die ich verbessern muss. Es ist ein Lernprozess, den jeder gehen muss, um sich zu entwickeln.

Today I still notice a lot of mistakes, in my photos, which I need to improve. It is a learning process that everyone must go to develop.
3. Du musst immer Manuellen-Modus fotografieren! - You must always shoot manual mode!
Foto-Snobs denken oft, dass das Fotografieren im Manuellen-Modus wahr ist. Ich sage: Was für ein Quatsch! Es kommt immer auf die Situation an. Es stimmt, dass du im automatischen Modus nur sehr begrenzt Einfluss auf das Aussehen deines endgültigen Bildes nehmen kannst. Daher ist es für Sie sinnvoll zu wissen, dass Sie ISO, Verschlusszeit und Blende selbst einstellen und das Belichtungsdreieck verstehen kannst. Aber in vielen Fällen ist es ein Hindernis, wenn du jede Einstellung selbst vornehmen musst. Dann empfehle ich ein halbautomatisches Programm. Mit Zeitautomatik (S oder TV) passt sich die Blende an die gewählte Verschlusszeit an. Wenn die Blendenpriorität (A oder Av) verwendet wird, wählt die Kamera die Verschlusszeit für die selbstregulierende Blende. Solche Einstellung sind besonders nützlich, um Veranstaltungen, Sportveranstaltungen oder Tiere zu fotografieren. Ein weiterer Fotografie-Mythos ist, dass Sie den Fokus manuell einstellen müssen, wenn du manuell fotografierst. Diese beiden Dinge sind völlig unabhängig voneinander! Such settings are especially useful for photographing events, sporting events, or animals. Another photography myth is that you have to manually adjust the focus when you shoot manually. These two things are completely independent of each other! I use autofocus most of the time, unless I'm doing a long exposure, which is when autofocus can interfere.
4. Wer seine Bilder nachbearbeite, kann nicht fotografieren! - If you post-process your images, you can't take pictures!
So oder ähnlich wurde mir, erst letzte Woche an den Kopf geknallt. Auch das ist eine dicke Lüge! Fakt ist: Alle Fotografen bearbeiten ihr Fotos! Es ist auch gut, wenn man es nicht übertreibt. Denn die Bildbearbeitung am Computer ist eben das, was früher mit Negativen und Fotopapier von Hand gemacht wurde. Wenn du im RAW-Format fotografierst, musst du die Fotos sogar bearbeiten, da sie wie Negative aussehen. RAW-Dateien haben Schärfe, Sättigung und Co. muss erst bestimmt werden.
Auch wenn du sagst, du fotografierst nur mit einem Smartphone, sind die Bilder auch da schon bearbeitet. Den die heutigen Geräte erkennen was du fotografierst und dann bearbeite dein Smartphone das Foto nach festgelegten Schritte. Angezeigt wird dann das bearbeitetes und finale Foto. Unten siehst du ein Beispiel für ein RAW-Bild und ein fertiges JPEG.

5. Die Kamera ist wichtiger als das Objektiv! - The camera is more important than the lens!
Völlig falsch und unlogisch. Aber sehen wir es mal logisch an. Bevor der Sensor der Kamera ein Bild aufnehmen kann, muss es zuerst das Objektiv passieren. Auch die beste Kamera nützt nichts, wenn das Objektiv nicht gut genug ist. Denke also daran, dass Objektiv immer an erster Stelle steht und erst dann die Kamera.
Completely wrong and illogical. But let's look at it logically. Before the camera's sensor can capture an image, it must first pass through the lens. Even the best camera is of no use if the lens is not good enough. So remember that lens always comes first and only then the camera.

One of the modern myths from about 10 years ago is that one becomes a photographer when they buy more expensive camera, or even a more expensive phone lately. So many people just put a "Photographer" to their social network accounts description that this profession is already devalued. I don't put that to my name any more for that same reason :)

Yes, I noticed that a long time ago too. That's why I call myself an amateur, hobby photographer or simply Knipser. A work colleague has let so unsettled by such myths and that whole has given up after 6 months. Then my ex-boss arrived last week, with the statement "you edit your photos, then still have not learned to photograph properly". The myths are very persistent and will last a lifetime at least.

Apart from this, I am also a fan of achieving the maximum during the creation of the photo and edit as less as possible :) I always edit my photos, 99% of the time with Adobe Lightroom Classic.

I grew up to know that photography is a skill and not everyone that handles camera is good at it. There's this friend of mine that if he takes me 10 pictures I would definitely not pick anyone among the ten. I am also not good at photography but since I joined this community, I'm doing all my best to ensure I learn how to take photos. Yes these are wise words. It seems that this kind of myths are more laid around photography than any other pursuit. As you say if we can free ourselves from such “other poeple’s thoughts” that occurs as myths, then we can enjoy not only the result but also the experience on the journey. And I believe the more joy you have, brings more desire to go further and develop.
