READING WAS MY GIFT AS A STUDENT

Education was one thing I didn't get when I was supposed to at some point in my life and even now. Growing up, my dad and mum had some issues that were best known to them and because of that they parted ways and this single action affected our education because my dad kept relocating to different places because of the nature of his job. I started schooling early but during the time when they went their separate ways, my siblings and I had to stop school for close to three years.

We were still very young so it wasn't much of a problem then until we finally found a place to stay at least for a longer time. Since we already found a place where my dad's work won't disturb any longer, my dad decided to enroll us into a private school to continue our schooling which we've stopped for a while at different time. When we started, I was enrolled into class 2 instead of class 3 because I didn't do so well in the aptitude test.

I kept finding it hard to cope until I finally got to class 4. At this stage I was finding it very hard to read and spell. One of my exam then was based on just reading a passage to the hearing of my teacher. Before my exam, I had test and I was called out to read, it was so hard that I started crying, lol. That day when I got home, I went to meet my sister to teach me how to pronounce some words and also how to read effectively without stammering because she was very good at it.

She helped me almost every day to master some words and also I sometimes read different passages to her hearing and she would correct me when I say something wrong and that was very helpful for me. When exams finally came, I was one of the best in the aspect of reading and spelling and that made me really happy. Ever since then I've always enjoyed reading and taking note of new words, how they are spelt and pronounced and that has been really helpful in so many ways.

So if there is one thing being a student has taught me that I'd always be grateful about, it would be the ability for me to read effectively. I know some people don't see this as anything but I know how much I struggled to learn how to read and I can't imagine being able to read if I wasn't a student, it was almost impossible. I'm still learning how to read better everyday and being a writer has also helped greatly.

Now I know how much I read on a daily basis online and I wonder how I would have coped if I didn't learn how to read and spell properly as a student. It would have been really hard for me personally because I'm someone that hardly learns something on her own, I always do better when I have someone teaching me and being a student has helped me become a good reader and also a good writer and I'm happy to have been privileged to have such opportunity.

So what is that one thing you won't have learned if you weren't a student? And how has it affected you? Do well to share your answers with me at the comment section, let's talk, hehe.

Until next time, stay AWESOME and JIGGY!!!

Whao, this may sound different, but this reminds me of the fact that no matter how bad you are at a craft, if you are willing to learn and you have good tutors around you, you can emerge as one of the best in that craft.

I would not have leant time and people management if not for school.

That's right, I've noticed that too. I always do extremely well at whatever I put my mind to and I'm try really hard to use that to my own advantage.

That's a very good lesson to learn.

By the way, I've you heard of the ongoing zealy quest?

No, I've not. What's the zealy quest all about ma'am?

It's all about participating in different quests as it comes with the aim of onboarding new users to hive through the leofinance user interface.

Kudos to your sister for the help and good job to you too as you were able to work on yourself in getting better with reading.

Hmm I can't imagine if I still can't read at this point 😃😃 it would have been hell.

Like, it won't have been funny at all. I know how I feel when I see people struggling how to read well so I'm really grateful I can read.

Thank you so much for your comment and compliment 🥰
