MY JOURNEY OF RESILIENCE AND GROWTH

As I reflect on my journey so far this year, I'm reminded of the ups and downs that have shaped my experiences. I started with big plans and dreams, but life got in the way. Despite the setbacks, I have had some amazing experiences that I'll always treasure.

One of the highlights was visiting my mom's place with my siblings. We had a blast! We relaxed, had fun, and enjoyed each other's company. It was a much-needed break from our busy lives (not as if we were doing so much though, hehe). We treated ourselves to good food and activities, and it was worth it. For a week and a day, we forgot about our worries and just enjoyed life.

We laughed, joked, and shared stories. We also helped with household chores and bonded over our shared experiences. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with my family and make new memories. I realized that spending quality time with loved ones is essential for our well-being.

But, just as we were about to return home, I fell sick. It was a bummer! I had to slow down and take care of myself, which meant putting my goals and plans on hold. It was hard to accept, but I knew I needed to get better. I learned that taking care of our physical and mental health is crucial.

Another special moment was attending a friend's wedding. It was a beautiful celebration, and I was honored to be part of it. You know, something really funny happened that day, I was supposed to be part of her bridal train but somehow I wasn’t able to get to the reception in time because I was too busy. Seeing my friend exchange vows with their partner was heartwarming. It reminded me of the importance of love and friendship in our lives. The wedding was also a great chance to reconnect with friends and make new memories.

I remember following my friend and her fiancé for their court wedding and that was another fun experience for me since the year started. The fact that we went together in a personal ride made it even more enjoyable. My friend’s husband was the one who drove us there and sadly he didn’t get to enjoy the journey because it was quite stressful due to bad road but then because I wasn’t the one with the wheels, I did enjoy myself.

Also, after months of waiting, I finally got the news I had been hoping for - I got accepted into the university I had applied for! It was a huge relief and a testament to my prayers and patience. It's been challenging to balance my responsibilities with my goals, but I'm determined to make it work.

I've learned that perseverance and determination are key to achieving our goals. We may face setbacks and failures, but it's how we respond that matters. We can choose to give up or keep moving forward. I've chosen to keep moving forward, and I'm excited to see what the future holds.

Through all of this, I've learned the importance of self-care. I started the year with good intentions, prioritizing my well-being and making time for activities that bring me joy. But, as life got busier, I neglected my self-care routine. I've learned that it's crucial to make time for ourselves, even when things get hectic. I've realized that life is unpredictable, and things don't always go as planned.

In conclusion, this year has been a journey of ups and downs. I've had amazing experiences, learned valuable lessons, and grown as a person. I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had and the people who have supported me along the way. As I move forward, I'm committed to prioritizing my well-being and making time for the things that bring me joy and fulfillment.

I hope that by sharing my experiences, I can inspire others to prioritize their well-being and pursue their dreams. Life may be unpredictable, but with determination and resilience, we can overcome any obstacle and achieve our goals. We just need to keep moving forward, one step at a time.

First, I'll say a hearty congratulations on your admission into the university of your choice, it's always heart-warming to see our patience paying off. Life isn't a one way traffic, sometimes it takes us to two or even three. Other times, it may be one filled with potholes,. The only we can navigate on all these roads is to persevere and hope for the best.
