Interior Decor As A Minimalist

Choosing a colour for my interior design has always been something I thought would be easy for me because I always focus on something simple but elegant. All my life I've always lived in an apartment that has just one color which is mostly white or cream. I hated the color white on the wall then because here in my country we have high rate of mosquitoes and most times we end up hitting them to the wall and that would make the wall dirty.

Just for that reason alone I preferred dark colors for sometime so when my wall is dirty due to blood from mosquitoes it won't be so obvious but then I recently have a change of taste. I want a wall color that will be both simple and cool. I believe the colour we choose goes a long way to say the kind of people we are so I try to go with neutral colors with a touch of little brighter colors.

A home is a place that should be welcoming and comforting to anyone who finds themselves in it. Sometimes the colors we use to decorate our walls can be helpful to us emotionally sometimes and it can also not be helpful some other times and that's why choosing our interior designs shouldn't be something we take lightly.

Having a good color in our homes can bring good tidings to us also. There are some people we can invite in with the kind of colors we design our homes with, they can either draw in good luck or the opposite. I know some of us don't care what others think of us and our choices but then it's wiser to put some things into consideration so we don't end up in the wrong because we choose to not care what others think or say even when we know it's good.

In the end, it all still boils down to what we want and feel is the best for us and for me I'd go with a nude color with some touches of blue because I really do love that color especially sky blue. I do believe adding a touch of blue will add a feel of liveliness to my home so I'd surely go for that if I get the chance of making the decision.

So I do go with the minimalist flow in the end, I don't like colorful interiors at all I prefer a single or at most two colors on my wall. I don't want it to be too busy and attractive because I do know that outside my walls I can complete my decoration using my bulbs, cotton and even my furniture. The aim of my interior designs will be mainly to make it comfortable, clean and welcoming. But of course I can do a little adjustment if need be.
