A REASON TO BE GRATEFUL

I just smiled when I saw this topic as part of the prompt for this week. Indeed, Life is filled with so many reasons, things and people to be grateful for. I always have something I'm grateful for every moment of my life because they come to me new every morning and it's evident whose handiwork it is. I know this week is halfway started or halfway gone depending on how you see it but the goodness of God has never ceased.

Last week, I was planning to get one of my bucket list clicked but somehow, something wasn't right and it got delayed for just no cause which made me really uneasy and sad at some point but in the end I knew it was going to end in thanksgiving. I can't share the details of everything now but I hope I will when the time is right. But I'm really so grateful right now to God because he is making it possible that I'd be achieving one of the goals on my bucket list at this time.

I've had this goal for more than 4 years now on my bucket list and I was already gradually giving up on achieving it this soon since a lot of things weren't feeling so right anymore but then little did I know that God had a different plan for me. At some point last week, it felt like everything just went so forward and I found myself working towards achieving that particular goal almost effortlessly.

Well, it required me to pay a little sacrifice though and I was able to do that even though it was something that I won't do on a normal day. And somehow doing it now didn't even feel so wrong anymore as I always thought it would and that's because God has blessed me with the best people (friends) anyone could ask or wish for. I was grateful for the opportunity I got to meet a friend like him and seeing how he just got so involved in making one of my dreams come true was something that I never saw coming.

So at the moment, I'm grateful for life, for my circle that is the people around me and of course for my achievements in the past few weeks of this year. I've continuously been reminded that I'm loved and cared for. Sometimes I know I do ask God for some things that I get but then almost 70% of the things I get are not even part of what I prayed for and I still get them and that has just made me found every reason to be grateful.

Difficulties have been faced but it's how I overcome that really overwhelmes me even more. At some point I've thought that I'd just give some things or people up but then God still made it possible for me to keep those people closer and things more useful to me. I've literally been basking in God's love and I know that there are going to come though times so this post is going to be as a reminder to me that God has been good to me if I ever try to think otherwise.

That is my response for the second topic suggestion in the hiveghana's weekly prompt titled "GRATITUDE".

It sounds like you've been through quite a journey with your bucket list goal, and it's heartwarming to hear that you feel grateful for the support of your friends and the unexpected turn of events. Sometimes, delays and sacrifices lead to even greater appreciation when things fall into place. Congratulations on making progress towards achieving your dream!

Somehow, I find myself connecting with what you're saying even though I don't know in details what it is.

I understand very well how it feels for things not to go the way we plan it. But one amazing thing is that, when it goes the way God planned it, you'll forever be great full that it never went the way you planned it.

Heyooo, Hoppeeey. Is it weird that I want to squish your cheeks?

Okay, back to your post. You see, the road to success (achieving goals/ things on our bucket list) isn't a straightforward one. It is a zig-zag journey filled with thorns and obstacles. Success and sacrifice are like conjoined elements. To achieve success, you have to give up on something. Whether it is a personality, free time, or foregoing certain luxuries.

I'm really glad you didn't give up, Hope. 4 years is no joke.

As for me, I'm grateful that my parents are alive. Those guys are rare gems. They are the best.

Lol, yes it's weird 😅

You're right, the road to achieving anything in life is not a straight one.

Awwn, it's so sweet that you are grateful for your parents being alive, I'm grateful for that too 🥰.

Thank you so much for stopping by Fave 🥰
