The film begins with a scene of a young boy named "Irving," who is playing baseball with his friends. He is a crazy fan of playing games and a fan of the New York Yankees team. He always wanted to go to their football team then he imagines himself while playing football; in those imaginations, he can't play baseball well and falls. His friends start bullying him and forbid him to play with them. ''Irving'' becomes sad and one day he finds a ball from a broken car while playing in the ground. He brings it at home and then it is told in the news ''Yankees'' stadium is giving excellent training to their team. This team is above all teams because of this training. Due to it, the team wins all matches and it is said there is a player in ''Yankees'' has a magical bat. He always wins because of this magical bat. This player is named ''Ruth''. On another side, a player of ''Chicago'' team is shown furious about losing previous rounds and the world will know them as losers. He always weep in front of his players that we have to win from ''Ruth'' so defeat him. He calls a player and asks him to snatch ''Ruth's'' bat but the player gets panicked and says captain, this isn't easy. The captain said if you would not do this I will terminate you from my team. ''Irving'' comes to his room and places his ball aside while tearing the ''Yankees'' poster. He doesn't believe he will ever be able to go into their team to play. His friends constantly bully him, which is why his dreams are dashed after this, when he turns behind the ball he had placed there was talking. It says to ''Irving'' you should not bring me here but he gets panicked to see this then his mother comes to his room and he says to mother, ''look this ball is talking''. His mother observed the ball but it wasn't talking means the ball only speaks in front of ''Irving''. Only ''Irving'' can hear the ball's voice.
