Good that you started cycling again!
Cycling is good for your health indeed.
When you regularly ride your bicycle you can easily extend that distance.
It's more a mindset. Just pick your bicycle when you need to go somewhere within 5 kilometer of your house. When it becomes a habit it will be easier.
