HIS MUSIC

Whenever I see people stop by and tell me oh you're good or that was a beautiful one, I simply smile because I know my music had left an impression.
Although I would prefer it was called his music, but it didn't matter if only I knew the story.

My dad was one of those family oriented men who would work every single second available just to make sure we weren't starving. All his time was spent working and the only free time he ever had was spent on the curb by the roadside playing his violin.
Although he loved music passionately and simply wanted everyone to enjoy it as much as he did, playing by the roadside was also to earn some extra coin for the family.

Growing up I had despised anything that had to do with the violin because in my eyes he was the cause of all our problems. Even though I was also tempted to learn the instrument, the fact that he wanted me to follow his path and learn was my one revenge against him for us not having enough.

It went on for years until I eventually left home to find my path in the world. Now struggling to survive, I realized just how much my old man had given over the years.
I was still contemplating going back home to ask for his forgiveness when I got the news he was involved in an accident.

It's been two years now since his death and for two years I now played the violin on the same road side curb.
I learned to play so as to continue his legacy and to honor his memory. Now whenever I play and someone stops by to compliment my music, I know deep down that I'm playing his music.

What a said story. Sad too is he only discovered his talent after his father died.

Thanks for joining pic1000.

Sure
Dad's music lingers on.... I'm sure you now understand the fact that dad did all that for the family's growth
