THE PARLIATIVE SCHEME.

THE PARLIATIVE SCHEME.

source

Some weeks ago I was in my office when I heard some staff in the main building of the school compound talking then I heard the school cleaner calling someone all sorts of insultive names, saying ...the person is stingy, that the person is wicked and that all the person knows is to ask for unnecessary bills...
Like the noise was much that I had to go check if there was a misunderstanding between the cleaner and any of the teachers so as to know what to do before the Head Teacher arrives. (The Head Teacher was not yet in school due to some issues). On getting to the scene of the argument, lo and behold it wasn't an argument but just a casual gust among them (the staff); it turns out that the cleaner just has a loud tone that made it seem like an argument and she wasn't insulting anyone in the school but her Landlord.

I had to ask what happened that she had to call her him names that early in the morning. One of the staffs answered and said that they were talking about a form that was brought to them to fill in their respective compound. The landlords of their compound had told them to write their names and fill the form so it can be submitted to the village head in respect to the parliative scheme of Akwa Ibom State (I was not aware so I thought my community was not involved). The cleaner was angry because she didn't hear of it and her landlord had not collected her name, she confronted her landlord about it and he said that he forgot to write her name, she then requested that he should submit her name to the village head.

Her landlord said they were no longer collecting names (The deadline had elapsed) that made her angry which resulted to her outburst. Last week Thursday on my way back from work, I saw some cars in front of the village head's compound in my community, which I later learnt that the visitors had come to deliver the rice as promised by the state government (as parliative).
On Friday the rice was shared among the elders that ruled the community and some bags were given to the family heads to be shared on the dates chosen by the family heads. Today being the scheduled day for the rice to be shared in my family, I decided to follow some friends to the family hall to see things for myself.
Truly, there was rice as said by the governor but there's something that comes with public things: The place was organised at first then it started becoming noisy, then the dragging and rushing then everywhere become rowdy. You'll see people dragging public things as if it was bought with their father's money or as if it was their lifelong inheritance.

I just had to go to my house before the dragging results to fight because it was really serious. I didn't even wait for the people I went with since they wanted to see the end of the scenario so I just left.
