A WEEKEND I WOULD ALWAYS REMEMBER.

If I am being positive, I will say 2023 so far had been a great year for me. 50 weeks so far out of 52 weeks, one of the weekends I would love to re-experience would be the one my sister's health didn't disturb her though her body didn't show it (Her health didn't allow her live her normal life all through 2023 before she died).

During weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), I go to church for cleanup then I come back to the house to assist with the house cleanup too. I go to the market to get foodstuff to make food then I'll go to church in the evening for choir rehearsal (that's if there's no farm work to do, if not I'll have to assist in he farm too before going for choir rehearsal). On Sundays, I leave for church on or before 7:00am as mandatory for all ministers or workers and I'll return on or before 1:30pm after exchanging pleasantries and sweeping the church. When I get back home I'll make food and I'll sleep a little if I don't have clothes to wash because by 5:00pm I'll be going for house fellowship.
What made this weekend so special that I would love to re-experience it is the fact that my sister that has been sick since the 28th day of December 2022 woke up strong for the first time in April 2023 without feeling any pains, no difficulty in breathing and can also walk freely.

I woke up early as usual on Saturday but I didn't feel like going to church for cleanup because the chores in the house was much.
The weeds in the compound had grown so much that it had to be cleared, * Since I've been running around for my sister's health the house was dirty and it needed to be cleaned, My mom and my sister returned from the place that my sister was being treated some days back and I have to wash the dirty clothes. (So I didn't plan on going to the church for cleanup).

My sister, Blessing woke up and said she wanted to assist with the chores, I was not just surprised to hear her offering to help but I was also surprised that she was able to stand up from the bed and walk out of the bedroom to the verandah.

Well as expected, I didn't accept her offer to help but told her to save her strength. Blessing was overly active that day and I was happy that she was strong but I didn't want her to stress herself. Blessing called her friend Benedicta that she was bored and she should come over to the house and pick her. Benie came to pick her and they both went over to her place, they did many things together as if she was never sick,

They made cupcakes together for a customer

They both went out to their friend's house to plan for my mom's birthday. Blessing said she needed new pair of slippers so Benie snapped and sent some samples from a neighbor's shop to her.

I was only given a plate of fried rice and salad from Sir Monty's Food while I listened to the gist of how their day went.

Actually I wish I had participated in the fun activity of that day with my sister, I wished I had allowed her assist me even if it just meant for us to be together but it wasn't so but I was happy she had fun.

Next day was Sunday, we all went to church except sister Blessing because her body was still swollen though she felt light. Later at night, her asthma cough started and when it was morning Mom had to take her to the General Hospital closest to us to stabilize her breathing (Ventolin Nebulizer Treatment). The doctors referred them to Federal Medical Center (FMC Umuahia) as the treatment can no longer help her breathing.

Unfortunately exactly after one month, mom came back from the hospital without sister Blessing because she was dead. I wasn't happy that I had a chance to at least one happy day with my sister in 2023 but missed it, I wish the day would come again. I didn't just lose a sister but also my best friend, her death is like a sharp tiny bone in my throat.

I PRAY HER SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE.
