Sejam bem vindo a mais um post sobre Splinterlands, hoje irei falar sobre a carta Wave Brood e mostrar como ela pode ser uma ótima escolha de tank para suas batalhas. Caso você não conheça a carta Wave Brood ela pertence ao deck de água e é uma carta épica da edição de chaos legion.

Antes de eu falar mais sobre a carta Wave Brood e como ela será uma incrível escolha para as suas batalhas, vamos conhecer mais sobre ela fora do campo de batalha, através de seu Folclore.

Um Wave Brood é um elemental da água corrompido pela Legião do Caos. Os invocadores distorcem a magia usada para criar o elemental, tornando-o uma criatura caótica e temível. Wave Broods são completamente dedicados ao seu invocador e são frequentemente usados ​​em guerras navais, afundando navios e guardando as frotas e forças da Legião.

Pode não parecer muito interessante para alguns, mas na minha opinião conhecer mais sobre a carta além de sua utilidade nas batalhas é algo legal de se aprender e também uma forma adicional de dar mais emoção no campo de batalha.

Agora que enchemos nossas almas de conhecimento, vamos entender como o Wave Brood funciona nas batalhas através de suas estatísticas.

Ao ver as estatísticas do Wave Brood você percebe que não é algo muito comum de ser ver em Splinterlands, afinal ele é uma carta ranged tank que pode atacar na primeira posição. Mas vamos por partes para que você entenda melhor como essa carta funciona.

A primeira parte é entender suas estatísticas básicas. Seu ataque é do tipo ranged e como vocês podem ver não é alto, então certamente não será o foco desta carta na batalha. Sua velocidade também é muito baixa então não irá ser de grande ajuda a menos que exista a regra Reverse Speed na batalha. Por último temos sua vida que será sua principal estatística básica já que ela é bastante alta e será muito útil para te defender nas batalhas.

A segunda parte é entender suas habilidades porque elas tornaram o Wave Brood ainda mais incrível em suas batalhas.

A primeira abilitie é a Taunt. Essa abilitie faz o Wave Brood ser o alvo principal dos ataques das cartas adversárias, independente de ele está na primeira posição ou em qualquer outra, ele sempre será o alvo. A única exceção é quando ele está em uma posição diferente da primeira porque a carta adversária que está na primeira posição irá atacar a sua carta da primeira posição.

A segunda abilitie é a Close Range. Essa abilitie faz o Wave Brood ser capaz de atacar na primeira posição mesmo sendo uma carta ranged, então você não precisa se preocupar em qual posição botar ele porque ele sempre irá atacar. A única exceção é quando existe a regra Back to Basic que faz todas as cartas perderem suas abilities na batalha.

A terceira abilitie é a Void. Essa abilitie faz o Wave Brood receber menos dano de ataques mágicos, isso o torna uma carta tank ainda melhor porque quanto menos dano ele receber na batalha mais tempo ele irá defender.

A quarta abilitie é a Return Fire. Essa abilitie faz o Wave Brood devolver parte do dano quando for atacado por uma carta ranged, ou seja, ele será o pior pesadelo das cartas ranged do seu adversário.

Essa é uma visão geral sobre a carta Wave Brood, agora irei mostrar ela em uma batalha mas não serei capaz de utilizar ela no level máximo com todas as suas habilidades porque a batalha que irei mostrar aconteceu na liga bronze, então o meu Wave Brood possui apenas as habilidades Taunt e Close Range.

Conhece aquele ditado "paciência é tudo?". Bem, esse ditado é a expressão
que define perfeitamente esta batalha porque ao invés de eu usar cartas poderosas eu troquei todas elas por um sistema mais "simples" com pouco ataque mas com mais eficiência.

Na batalha eu utilizei o Wave Brood como o meu tank na primeira posição e 2 cartas de suporte (Scavo Hireling e Crustacean King), as outras cartas irão ser utilizadas apenas para causar dano, enquanto o Wave Brood e os suportes irão segurar as cartas adversárias.

Eu não poderia me expressar de forma melhor do que dizer que foi uma batalha perfeita e unilateral porque não importava quais tentativas as cartas do meu adversário usassem, ela simplesmente não conseguiam passar pela poderosa barreira que é o Wave Brood (claro que os suportes também fizeram a maior parte do trabalho).

No final foi uma vitória unilateral sem eu ter perdido nenhuma de minhas cartas.

Wave Broods are completely devoted to their summoner and are often used in naval warfare, sinking ships, and guarding Legion fleets and forces.

It may not seem very interesting to some, but in my opinion knowing more about the card besides its usefulness in battles is something cool to learn and also an additional way to add more emotion on the battlefield.

Now that we have filled our souls with knowledge, let's understand how Wave Brood works in battles through its stats.

When looking at Wave Brood's stats you realize that it's not something very common to see in Splinterlands, after all it's a ranged tank card that can attack in first position. But let's go by parts so you can better understand how this card works.

The first part is understanding your basic stats. Its attack is ranged and as you can see it's not high, so it certainly won't be the focus of this card in battle. Its speed is also very low so it won't be of much help unless there is a Reverse Speed ​​rule in battle. Finally we have your life which will be your main basic stat since it is quite high and will be very useful to defend you in battles.

The second part is understanding his abilities because they made Wave Brood even more amazing in his battles.

The first ability is Taunt. This ability makes Wave Brood the main target of attacks from opposing cards, regardless of whether he is in first position or any other, he will always be the target. The only exception is when he is in a different position than the first position because the opposing card that is in the first position will attack his first position card.

The second ability is the Close Range. This ability makes Wave Brood able to attack in first position even though it's a ranged card, so you don't have to worry about which position to put him in because he will always attack. The only exception is when there is a Back to Basic rule which causes all cards to lose their abilities in battle.

The third ability is Void. This ability makes Wave Brood take less damage from magic attacks, this makes it an even better tank card because the less damage it takes in battle the longer it will defend.

The fourth ability is Return Fire. This ability makes Wave Brood return part of the damage when it is attacked by a ranged card, that is, it will be your opponent's worst ranged card nightmare.

This is an overview of the Wave Brood card, now I will show it in a battle but I won't be able to use it at maximum level with all its abilities because the battle I will show took place in the bronze league, so mine Wave Brood only has the Taunt and Close Range abilities.

You know that saying "patience is everything?". Well that saying is the expression
which perfectly defines this battle because instead of using powerful cards I exchanged all of them for a "simpler" system with little attack but more efficiently.

In the battle I used Wave Brood as my tank in the first position and 2 support cards (Scavo Hireling and Crustacean King), the other cards will only be used to deal damage, while Wave Brood and supports will hold the opposing cards .

I couldn't express myself better than to say that it was a perfect, one-sided battle because no matter what attempts my opponent's cards used, they just couldn't get through the mighty barrier that is Wave Brood (of course the supports did too most of the work).

In the end it was a one-sided victory without me losing any of my cards.
