What the Trash!?

Here is our big surprise on a little detour before we hit the island Cozumel.
My gang and I had a very beautiful but trashy day at a beach at Puerto Morelos. Actually, it was our day off, but it turned into a #cleanplanet Day with the #hive-150210 community.
I am still surprised, having seen a beach with that amount of rubbish. On the Caribbean Sea. What would Captain Jack Sparrow say if he could see that part of the seven seas like that.

The location we cleaned is here;

Hendrik had bags to collect rubbish, and also we used the trash we found, like a bucket or similar things, to collect as much as possible;

We had a wide collection with lots of stuff;

The collection got bigger and bigger;

Interesting how the rubbish was taken by the ocean and marine life, like the title photo and;

We put all the collected rubbish onto our small car, but...;

I read the rules of your community;

Show Step by Step how you pick-up trash from nature with photo report or video
Prove us the Date of the Action
Put your picked up trash in a public bin
...

We had to be careful about where we would dispose all the collected rubbish, as everyone has to pay for their disposal.
It wasn't even our rubbish. Or was it? In a way, it is. We all contribute a part into this, conscious and unconsciously.
Anyway, we sneaked our way through and disposed it wherever we could. Still in a conscious way. But not much time for good photos;

About the date and time; Is it enough when I provide this?;

It was already dark and we're happy exhausted.

After and during the big collection, we enjoyed the beach and water. Here are some nice memories beside the rubbish;

It is a very beautiful beach with many little details along the shore. You can find, observe and sometimes play with hermits, snails, shells, fishes, birds and more. Always be careful and keep in mind that you are in their territory. You are a guest, a visitor. The creatures might feel threatened. Learn about your environment.
I observed a snail and wasn't sure if it's the famous geography cone. Which is venomous and deadly. But nope. It wasn't. Still, I was careful but wanted to put it back into deeper water as I found it somewhere lonely in a shallow lagoon.

How lovely is this post. It made me smile! It's such a shame how people throw everything out in nature, that's probably my biggest annoyance here in Spain. Every place where we lived, people throw their trash including big furniture everywhere and don't bother to use the bins that often are just 10 meters away. I find it a shame of such a beautiful country..

I don't get the mentality and I hope more people will become aware and do their part like you've been doing there. In our previous apartment we had a public stairs in front of our windows and almost every night they sat their being loud and left all their stuff behind, cans, plastic bottles, paper bags etc, and then the wind would take it down the stairs for us to look at or smell whatever was rotting there in 35 degrees.

You all deserve a medal for honouring nature and helping to clean it, the place looks like paradise.. and how funny what type of art you can make with some waste, right?

I hope you both are doing great :)

Thank you so much for your kind words!
And I'm happy when I can make my fellows smile <3

Yes, I feel you. I try to find ways to give people a conscious about consumption, concerning the understanding of our cycle and no, or least waste. The knowledge about bringing back your leftovers, unused or waste to this cycle.

We are doing great. Thank you. Hopefully you too 🙏🏽🌱💜

Great work cleaning up the beach, it looks such a great one too! It is a shame that people feel the need to leave their waste behind them.

Thanks 💪🏽😊

Beside the shame of people's need to leave their waste on that beautiful place, it's also the ocean which brings even more waste from everywhere from people's need of leaving their waste somewhere. The ocean shows how much some care for our environment.

Makes me sad. But, stepping over myself and clean up our environment gives me a good feeling and good energy.

What would Captain Jack Sparrow say if he could see that part of the seven seas like that.

First, he would scream, very loudly but then he would run to help you and your friends to clean this beach, aMAZINGg man 😉

Nice thought! I luv it. Would be honoured and I think it could happen because to me, Jack and Johnny seem to be good people.
Thanks, @mipiano 🫶🏽

We were doing a trash cleaning in the Hamburg meetup and went through a decent area... As we were over 10 people doing it, in the end, to my surprise we didn't find that much trash...
You did a great job on that beach and collected a LOT! It looks like we need much more education on keeping our nature cleaner...

PS. Like that sheep from the first photo... It looks like a Pegasus or a Unicorn wannabe... 😂

I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project! Check out our Reading Suggestions Posts!

Yeah! You did a great job as well. Just picking up a single piece of rubbish wherever and bringing it back, hopefully in the right way of recycling, is the job we need. Right next to the needed education you mentioned 🙏🏽
Hamburg! I'd have liked to join. But México kept us longer 😋

Pegasus and unicorn! That are nice catch of views.

Thanks, @ph1102❤️
