Newbie Initiative task 7/ Recount of my hive journey, goals and feedback

Hello everyone and welcome to by blog once again,

I'm glad to be part of the newbie initiatives that saw through the program to the very last task, task 7, feels like yesterday when I applied to be a part of the newbie initiatives program, with a doubtful mind thinking if I was going to get selected, thanks to my sister @treasuree who hinted me on time to apply as I had only just started being active on the blockchain and had numerous questions also needed some guidance, thankfully I was accepted, my joy knew no bound, now I had a guide and direction which I enjoyed every bit of the process, and this post is meant to give feed back and a recount of my goals onboarding the newbie program,

Without further ado, let me take you through

What do you think of the Newbies Initiative, and how has it helped your Hive journey?

Firstly, I will like to thank the founder @starstrings for this awesome program, and all its members, the tutors, team leaders, curators, because the Newbie Initiative program is the best thing that can ever happen to a newbie here on the Hive blockchain, this past seven weeks has really been very enlightening to me thanks to them, prior to joining, I was in the dark about a lot of things and every task we were given pointed us towards growing and improving ourselves on hive, so my hive journey so far, being a partaker of this initiative program, has experience significant growth and improvement and it became exciting and fulfilled too, things I found difficult to do like writing a post properly and engagement became easier with their help.

How did you benefit from the task

My first task , we were taught in how to set SMART goals by the boss @starstrings being the basic, because every other thing and direction fall under this. I benefited because I was able to set up a smart goal for myself which I will be writing about later on this post.

For task 2 , thanks to our tutor @samostically who explained in details why plagiarism is frowned upon on hive , and the importance of originality also I benefited in knowing how important the usage of the correct tags are when making a post, how to beautify your post with markdowns, how to source image, overall, making your writeup neat and well arranged.

In task3 I knew more about Hive keys and how and when each of them can be used, also why they should be kept safe, and how to best jeep them safe. I also learnt how to set a trustee account who can help recover an account incases where I can't have access to my account, a very important knowledge I must say, and a lot of people are unaware of this feauture.

My Task 4 thanks to my team leader @Vickoly who handled the lecture about various Hive dApp also @projectmamabg gave more knowledge on this topic, I learnt about different hive dApp, their features, uniqueness and how to navigate around them easily, also the benefits of using each of them.

In Task 5, we were taught by @Ksam hive engine tokens, how to tip and mine tokens, also on how not to abuse tipping and Mining of tokens, the decentralised exchanges, we also did a practical by converting hive to Swap.hive and vice versa.

Lastly, Task 6 still tutored by the brilliant @Ksam, blockchain games, as a game lover that I am, knowing about games we could play and still earn cryptos abd NFTs from it while catching fun is a benefit, we did a practical exercise with rising star blockchain chain game, which I found very easy to do.

That brings me to the end of all six empowering great topics and tasks given.

What aspects of the Initiative do you believe we could enhance, and how?

Sincerely, the newbie initiative team has put in so much work which are definitely yielding great results, the enhancement on my part would be

1. Try to make this initiative compulsory for newbies, so a lot of newbies can benefit from it's amaziness on furtherance, less quality content creators will be insignifant in numbers.

2. If possible, accept more numbers of newbies, because I know a lot of people who wishes to be a part but couldn't make it ,some not being aware on time, while some got lucky to reach the 60 reputation mark but don't have basic knowledge about the blockchain , also bring in more team leaders to be able to carry out the task of looking out for each of them.

3. incoporate a basic tutorial on canva so newbies can learn to use it to design their thumbnails, since it also shows more originality too.

Recall the Newbies Initiative Task 1 when you were required to list your objectives. Tell us about your objectives and the extent you’ve come.

Yea, I recall this task and it brought a smile to my face because when I was setting these goals, I didn't know if I could make it, but one thing that brought about the determination and kept me on my toes into achieving them is none other than the @newbie-hive initiative program. Giving regular task, follow and encouragement from the awesome team leaders @Vickoly @Nkemakonam89 @hopestylist.

Unto the goals I set,

Up Goal

Starting with my Hp goal, when I set this goal, I had 14.130 as my Hp,

and I hoped to achieve 200HP at the end of this program, I'm happy that I am able to achieve this goal even went beyond, now having an up of 228,

All thanks to this wonderful initiative like I stated earlier for teaching us the power of engagement and posting regularly also getting curated for the efforts I put into it, can I tap my back too to say well done haha, I also participated in hpud by powering up few hives twice.

My followers

I started with 25 followers and hoped to reach 100

Sadly, I couldn't meet up this goal as I currently have 61 followers,

Still, I'm happy I made an improvement and the journey continues. Next

My engagement goal

Prior to making a goal, I had made 389 comments as seen below

My goal was to make 1000 comments, I'm glad I aced this goal and made 1213 comments,

I was sceptical if I could make this goal especially now that I'm more choked up at my work offline as a fashion designer, its our season now for much work load so my engagement can tend to below at the moment.

Consistency Goal

My goal in making regular post was also achieved, I had problem with having enough time, but like I determined to try to create my post early hours of the morning, I was able to achieve this goal.

Reputation Goal

I had a reputation of 53 and hoped to achieve a reputation of 60, 😁😁, goal achieved!👇.
