In my recent journey on Hive, I've had the pleasure of making numerous friends through the newbies initiative. It's been an incredible experience connecting with individuals from different parts of the world and fostering meaningful friendships. If you're new to Hive and looking to familiarise yourself with the platform, I highly recommend joining the newbies initiative for a chance to meet fantastic people.

During one of our game nights on Discord, I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful friend and partner named Meya Teingi. Her username, @meyateingi, caught my attention, and as I got to know her better, I discovered that she hails from Yenegoa, Nigeria but currently resides in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Meya has a few interesting preferences and talents. She absolutely adores spaghetti, and her fondness for the colour blue is evident in her life. But what truly captivates me is her incredible singing ability and songwriting skills. She has been singing since the tender age of 5, and her talent is truly remarkable. Additionally, Meya surprises everyone with her knitting skills, she does it perfectly well. I love knitting but I have not been able to finish up a project 🤦. Hopefully, Meya's projects will be a motivating factor for me to finish a project.

We had an activity together
As part of an activity to get to know each other better, we decided to play a game of Truth or Dare. We went through three exhilarating rounds, and to add a little fun, we set a consequence of a small monetary amount for not completing a dare. It was genuinely enjoyable to learn about each other's perspectives on the impact of Hive in our lives, reminiscing about our first experiences on the platform and discussing the steps we took to overcome challenges.

Now, you might be wondering about the daunting dares we gave each other, but rest assured, they were nothing too extreme. Instead, we chose dares that would encourage us to be more active on the blockchain.

Meya dared me to make a daily post for seven consecutive days. Surprisingly, this was something I had been actively working on for the past few weeks. Nonetheless, I gladly accepted the challenge, as it would keep me on my toes and ensure I didn't miss a day. Although the consequence for not completing the dare was minimal, I was determined to rise to the challenge.

For my dare to Meya, I challenged her to read and comment on five posts every day for the next seven days. I understood that reading might not be her favourite activity, but it was an excellent way for her to engage with the community and establish connections with different individuals.

I must say, I feel incredibly fortunate to have Meya as more than just a friend. Spending time with her is always a blast, and I cherish our growing friendship.
