Great tits!

No, this isn't a NSFW blogpost. I've just photographed a couple of birds behind my mobile home on the campsite today. And these species are named Great Tit. I must admit the title is a littlebit clickbait 😉

I have this bird feeding rack right behind my mobile home which I have filled with bird seeds with insects added to it.

Since this rack is hanging right behind the mobile home I can shoot the birds from quite a close distance with my Canon M50 and a 200 mm lens.

The Great Tit is a very common bird in the. Netherlands and can be recognized by its black cap.

This is another common species of birds that looks a lot like the Great Tit. This Blue Titnis a bit smaller and has a blue cap and a stripe over the eyes.
This one is enjoying the special bird peanut butter I bought. Don't use regular peanut butter for this. Peanut butter contains too much salt and is bad for their kidneys.

This bird is the Red-breasted Nuthatch. A very quick and agile bird. It seems to be the only one that can run down a tree face down.
It looks a bit like a criminal with its black mask.

I hope you didn't get too disappointed by my bird shots 😉

Thanks! I have a Canon M50 with a CANON EF-M 55-200MM F/4.5-6.3 lens. I think the distance was max three meters.
It's just behind my mobile home and I shoot from inside the mobile home.
I think the birds don't notice me because of the reflections of the glass.

that does help indeed , i tried with my 500mm earlier this week from inside the house +/-10 meter distance in the shade so not so much details as i would like.

The sun does help as you need quite a high shutter speed too with these quick birds 😃

Last year I had some successful outdoor bird shots with my camera on a tripod and remotely shooting with my phone.

i do use remote trigger and use 1/500 but the lack of light was more the problem :)

I think I used 1/180 for these, but the setting sun helped quite a bit indeed.

It is so nice to have visitors so close. They are very common bere too, the Great tit especially.
I love the Blue tit, it is so acrobatic. 😀

No, your bird shots look great. Seems like you are a friend of them. They're not scared of you. Or were you hiding?

Thanks! I was hiding g inside our mobile home. I think the birds didn't see me because of the reflections of the window.

That's really cool. You must be in the best hiding place. These birds are beautiful... beautifully captured.
