Selling BNB for HIVE!
Hello community, and anyone who may be reading this! I recently sold some shitcoins which I purchased a while back, and received some $BNB for it. It was certainly a learning experience, but this was money that I was accepting as a potential 100% loss from the moment I bought in, so I’m happy that I still have some value here.
I intended to transfer the $BNB into my Hive account, but was having issues with Hive-Engine. Upon opening a ticket, I discovered that I’d have to make an update which required my wallet’s private keys. I was not willing to do that, hence I got stuck with this $BNB.
So now, I’d like to sell this $BNB in exchange for $HIVE.
I’ll purchase at a discounted price. $HIVE currently costs approximately $0.292 apiece. I’ll sell all of this $BNB for 950 $HIVE (current market value would be approximately 1068 $HIVE). This $HIVE will go straight into @hive-140084’s account – the FreeCompliments Community account. It will be used for HSBI, as well as to purchase some tokens which will be used in our reward system.

I looked at https://hivehub.dev/routes for your issue, but all propositions transit through hive.engine.
Does the issue concerns only $BNB or all external cryptos ?
I reblog, maybe someone is interested by your proposition (I don't have a Binance account that could solve the problem).

Well I only tried BNB, so I'm not sure whether it's a specific token issue. I actually have this on a Ledger device and not on an exchange (also no Binance account).
I had no problems with Bitcoin thus far.

Or you could use an exchange like Mexc, trade BNB for HIVE and withdraw, I just saw this post:

It seems like this might be a centralized exchange, requiring KYC. That's a BIG no-no for me. I'm very honest and never engage in shady activities, but I still value like my financial privacy on principle.
This might turn out trickier than I thought...
Hi, I see your post promoted and pop up again, I'm not sure if you got a solution.
Something passed in my mind, as the main problem seems you don't want to use your private key (I totally agree), you could use a trash Hive account specially created for this transaction, so it's safe to use the private key, transfer the Hive tokens to another account and forget it after that.
It's just an idea.
