Mini Speaker I regret Getting. Wk#23

avatar

The most Important fact about money is, "Save it when it's excessive" That doesn't mean spend it lavishly when it's excessive.

I like to see Money as a value, and I like to swap it with my Needs and never Wants.

Whenever I spend money I always go for the things that are important and not the things I want at that particular point in time. In other words i go for my "Needs", and not "Wants"

We all love the sound of music, especially good ones. At a particular point in time, I decided to get a minor sound speaker, just something I can feel the air with whenever the power supply goes out. We basically can't rely on the poor Power supply in this country.

At first I wanted to go for something small, However one habit about me is if I am getting something I like getting the best," Something I and the people around me will enjoy for a very long time.

Its ironical, really! You know, getting something you don't necessarily need at that point in time. I went to the plaza shop where mini speakers were sold. Immediately I saw this lined up with different colors and backgrounds. I fell in love with it.

It's Onyx Studio 7 speaker sold for 200,000 thousand naira as at 2022, but right now due to the Economic situation of things the prize has sky rocket

Don't get me wrong this is an amazing speaker, but after enjoying the vibes it gave to my apartment for a week. I found myself negotiating the main reason why I really bought it.

First of all I spend most of my time online hiving, and whenever Am crafting a post I usually enjoy a quiet and serene environment. So if i'm always on hive and I don't want any distractions not even from Music of any kind why then did i get a Speaker? I keep asking myself this question countless times.

I would probably go months without playing this speaker and it's just there begging me to touch it. Trust me The sound and bass is top notch better than LG home theater sold for 250,000 thousand naira. But I feel it works better on mood swings.

What actually made me regret my actions in getting this speaker, was an incident that occurred recently. Apparently there was a time I was dead broke, I looked left and right without finding a perfect solution.

I thought long and hard, all i could think of was selling off the speaker for 170,000 thousand naira, that would basically be 30, 000 naira lost for me since i bought it 200,000 thousand naira. After rephrasing the law of Property, It's surely a bad habit if I start selling out my properties.

Well luckily I decided to hang on a little to it. And the only thoughts running through my mind was "wished i've used the money for something better, probably something that'll make me look good and not something that will make me feel good.

Till we read again kudos!

Ahhhh that's definitely a lot to spend away and not regret when you realize you don't use it often. But I agree with you not to sell it off just like that.

I can only imagine how awesome the speaker is to cost that much 😅 cool!

My best speaker investment are these LED light bulbs with speaker integrated. Sounds are waves and the best wave is to come from the top, so a light bulb makes perfect sense.

I have a couple, one on my room, the other on my bathroom so I can put music while I take a shower.

My house dining room and lounge already have a Amazon Alexa. But it's true, most times you don't need that many smart appliances.

And yes, it's Bluetooth compatible, sometimes Alexa and Google Nest, so you can turn them on via voice.

It's no sound system. But it usually provide better ambiance that let say your phone loudspeakers. Is nice to turn on the lights and automatically transfer the audio to fill the room

That is one expensive speaker! Correct me if I'm wrong, that is about $250???
Yeah, there are times we buy things we thought we "need", later we realize it was more want than need.

Ouch. I know just how it feels to get something that valuable like that and then need to let go of it eventually. If you can find a way around it, not selling it off would be great—so maybe keep it that way.

Yahh already found a way around it. Definitely not selling it for no reason. Its not a good habit to sell off your properties

The speaker looks cool and I think you should start using it often so dust and insects won't turn it to their abode.
