Motherhood is an achievement for me. LOH #184

It's another week and another month to celebrate motherhood. Thanks to the ladies of the hive community for the amazing questions and @trucklife-family for bringing out super questions like this. I can't do without attempting them all because the questions somehow relate to each other.
Now to the first question>>>>>>>

1️⃣ . Motherhood is both rewarding and challenging What has been one of your greatest lessons since becoming a mother?

Nobody would tell you whether motherhood is challenging or not, it is until you get to the bridge that you know if it is worth crossing or turning back. However, in the journey of motherhood, I haven't seen anyone who turned back to becoming a single self after she had taken the step of becoming a mother. You can be a single mother, not a single self because the truth remains, you have passed through the journey of becoming a mother in your lifetime.

If Motherhood is challenging or rewarding can be according to individuals. However, it is both for me as a result of so many things for example; Motherhood can be consuming at times, and It is very easy to put my children's needs first before mine, neglecting my own physical, emotional, and mental health. Motherhood can make you worn out if you are not careful, That is why you see some people after childbirth, it's so hard for them to go back to their real selves because they have forgotten they need to find the balance in between.

The motherhood journey

What has been one of your greatest lessons since becoming a mother?

Motherhood has taught me to endure pain. During the time of pregnancy, the pains you feel almost every time, sleepless nights, harboring a human from the First Month all through Nine Months, spitting and vomiting, fatigue, and weird cravings, the day of delivery is between life and death🤔 all these pains taught me a high level of endurance. Motherhood has also taught me to prioritize my health and total well-being, I need to engage in things that make me happy, like having fun, beach hangouts, exercise, and relaxation. I have learned that setting boundaries and learning how to say No sometimes can help my sanity. I have learned forgiveness and embrace imperfection, my kids can be naughty sometimes, so, I need to forgive and embrace them for who they are.
I have also learned to become a better role model for my children, teaching them the importance of self-forgiveness, self-care, self-love, and self-worth.

2️⃣ Do you believe that women have a very clear role today in society? If so, what is that role?

It was before they believed female children ended their careers in the kitchen and as a housewife with no career passion, they believed women were expected to fulfill domestic chores and caregiving roles. However, the story has changed because women now have full voice, and good roles to play in society. We were not created as slaves but rather to be a help according to the Holy Bible.

In the world of today, women's roles are diversified, and there is nothing a woman cannot do. there is even an adage that states; what a man can do a woman can do better. Women have made significant impacts in various fields, for example; politics and decision-making, career professionals, business owners, leaders in education sectors, finance, and other ministries, Family managers and home builders, Activists and advocates for justice and equality for women, and many more. With their impacts on society, their contributions are valued and recognized all over the world.
Nevertheless, women's roles are based on individual choices, talents, passions, careers as well as their societal influence and cultural backgrounds.

3️⃣ What is your favorite memory of your mom? (or someone who acted in that role in your life!)

Here is a song to my super mother👇

My mother who sat and watched
my infant's head
when sleeping on my cradle bed
And tears of sweet affection shed
MY MOTHER!

I have many memories of my mother because she was a good role model to me and I want to be a good role model to my kids too😉
How can I forget the moments of love, support, care, quality time, prayer time, guidance, her cooking skills, and how she attends to house chores in a jiffy 🤷

My mom has been my confidant in times of trouble since I was a little girl til now, her words of encouragement were/are like a delight to my being. Her selfless acts of generosity and kindness to us and the people around her were top-notch. I always look forward to eating her special meals even now that I am married🤣. She taught me how to cook and her words in the kitchen those times were **A man's heart is through his belly, you must be a good cook to keep your man safe 😉

Mom and I
** She devoted her time to giving us listening ears whenever she came back from work, and she made sure she attended to all our homework one after the other.

She was/is a darling to my heart to whom I was so free to tell anything at all. Her encouragement in times of failure and pride in times of our achievements was the best. The way she scolded us whenever we misbehaved and still drew us closer to give us a lecture and sound warning never to repeat such attitude was the best✌️

I remembered my convocation day, my mom did it like a big celebration for me, she said you didn't how happy I was to see this day, you made me super proud👌All these memories are precious to me, they bring joy and gladness to my heart. I'm glad, I have a super mother who was/is a good example to us 👍 I can never forget the joyful and the sad moments we shared. When Dad died, you became Mom and Dad for us in everything. Thank you, Mom!
You are my treasure forever, Mom!

I have also learned to become a better role model for my children, teaching them the importance of self-forgiveness, self-care, self-love, and self-worth.

This is sich a great lesson. Loving and forgiveness should come from within. And it is important that children learn that from the very beginning. And it is the mother whom it is best to learn it from.

Exactly @romeskie
My powerbank mistakenly fell from my daughter yesterday and it got broken. I was hurt because we don't usually have light and this is very expensive to buy.
Immediately she saw the pain in me, She said, Mum, I am so sorry for causing you this huge pain and immediately I melted with her kind of words.

I am so happy, my training is showing gradually✌️
