✏️ Role of Technology in Shaping Our Future.

I cannot imagine what the world looked like before technology came into the picture. Everything was done in the dark. People were not this exposed. It was the era of a trade by barter, man laborer, and BLA BLA...

What is Technology? This is an advanced way of doing things.
Before technology, fingers and toes, sticks, pebbles, and cowries were used in counting, ink, and feathers for writing or blood as we can still see in some of these ancient Korean, American, or adventure movies.

Before technology, communication was done verbally, face to face, or by writing letters but now that there's technology, things have changed to be the best.

1. Can we all go back to the use of firewood instead of a gas cooker?
2. Can we go back to the era of no mobile phones?
3. Can we discontinue the use of the Internet?
4. What about getting water from the river when there was no borehole?

The invention of technology has come to play a vital role in shaping our lives and future in so many ways.

Sending and receiving messages in a short while can be seen as one of the roles technology is playing in shaping our future. We are no longer in the era of going from one house to the other before we can communicate. The invention of mobile phones, instant messaging Apps, and social media has helped our connection to people and our loved ones globally making interaction so easy without stress. Technology has brought about tremendous changes. Online learning platforms, interactive educational tools, and virtual classrooms have made learning more accessible and conducive for students of all ages. It has also enabled individuals to continue their education even in remote areas or during times of crisis. For example, during COVID-19 PANDEMIC, my children learnet from home with the use of mobile phones and a good network. We can make use of the internet to learn and relearn without any physical class.

**Electronic Commerce (E-commerce): **
The role of technology can also be seen in the way we shop and consume goods and services. E-commerce platforms have made it possible to shop from the comfort of our homes, and online marketplaces offer a wide range of products globally. Shopping in your comfort zone without any stress is the joy of e-commerce. I'm a businesswoman, I buy and sell online without having a shop and my drop-shipping business keeps advancing.

**Electronic banking(E-banking): **
In the area of banking, technology has done us a lot of good by putting an end to the long queue we face in the banking hall, the stress of depositing and withdrawing your hard-earned money was not a joke but now, you can do it at the comfort of your homes. I remember in my University days, payments were made by hand and we had to suffer before we could get a teller or make our payment. Things were done manually.

**Personal growth: **
The advancements in technology have brought about significant changes and have impacted almost every aspect of our daily lives thereby making us perform tasks easily and conveniently. Access to technology has changed the way we learn, research, and stay informed on a range of self-development, advancement, and exposure.

Technology has also transformed the way we work and how we choose to work. With the invention of ICT gadgets, people are no longer tied to a normal office routine. This has provided greater flexibility and freedom in how we choose to work, allowing for a better work-life balance. This has led to increased productivity and better outcomes in our work and life daily activities.

Socialization
Technology has made it easier to build relationships, and connect with people at home and across the globe the use of social media, email, video calls, and messaging apps has all made it easier to stay in touch with friends, family, and colleagues. I cannot imagine the set of good people I have been able to meet on this Hive. People who motivate and encourage me to keep progressing on Hive. If not technology, we will be limited to socialization.

**Electronic Entertainment(E-entertainment) **
Technology has transformed the way we entertain ourselves through games, music, or movies, with streaming services, online gaming platforms, social media, and other digital platforms providing endless options for fun, entertainment, and relaxation and also providing ways of reducing stress and fatigue, depression, and isolation.

There are numerous benefits of technology shaping our lives. Such as hospitals,           supermarkets, industries, robotics, and so on.

Even though the use of technology has its cons, it has disadvantages to people and their total well-being. However, the importance of technology cannot be over-emphasized. It has numerous benefits and advancements in our lives and will continue to do so in the future.
