Weekend-Engagement topics: WEEK 187 ~ Get to know him first

Imagine you were to see someone you were attracted to across the room at a bar this weekend and want to strike up a conversation - What do you do and why, and what do you say? How do you play it and what's your desired outcome and how do you achieve it? Remember to use your own photos.

If he is someone who knows how to sustain a conversation, I think it will be easier for me to be able to strike a conversation. My first date was about to know the person more, just beyond his physique, perhaps that was the first thing that attracted me to him. Let's say he is one that I have a crush on from a distance, I know nothing personal about him.

A short story about my recent date. It was our first date and our first physical meeting after months or a year of talking and wooing me on the phone. That day, I was a bit late, so I met him there already seated and waiting for me at our meeting point but one thing on my mind before I left my house was I was going to talk.

The whole months of our talking, I knew he wasn't the talking type, and I, on the other hand, knew how to chat and all that but most times, I do need someone to strike or begin the conversation, then you can leave the floor for me, I would take over from there but one thing I had in mind when I went on a date with him was, I was going to do everything to enjoy myself for coming out and not regret going out.

And so when I got there and we did the official greeting, and I was seated and well rested, I kind of complimented how beautiful the place was, and how it was filled to the brim with people, especially couples.

When I saw his interest in what I was talking about, it was easier to dig into knowing him more because I needed to know his background and all that had to do with him, and along the line we went into talking about what his childhood looked like, at the end of the day, we both enjoyed ourselves and looked forward to seeing more of ourselves.

So, for my crush, I think I will go with the same tactics because I wouldn't want to have a boring date, and secondly, I feel the date helps me know if I would want to open up to him about my feelings or let it die with me.

It helps me see or imagine the kind of person he is and if I would want to make my feelings a reality with him.
