The Festive Season ~ Grateful Heart

Scrolling through a particular page, I saw a post about where someone wrote, if you want more, you have to be grateful for the little and it is no lie at all that our gratitude to God for the things He has done opens doors for more.

It's a few hours to the end of this day and indeed, I began asking myself the question, what are you grateful for?

Well, it's no lie that I would firstly say, I am grateful for my family, friends and people have crossed paths with. I am grateful to God for sustaining their lives till this day, I mean, who wouldn't be grateful for life.

For one who has lost a loved one in a festive period like this, I can tell and know the feeling to lose someone at such a time most especially after the plans and memories you wanted to share with them but could not because you lost them at such a time.

It's sad, but I guess God understands better why most of the things that happen to us come our way.

With all being said, sitting back to relish about the months and the remaining days in this year? I am grateful for just one thing for being able to touch lives this year better than I was able to do the past years and that is one thing I am grateful for.

I know it sounds weird perhaps but I am grateful that I was able to touch lives one way or the other with the blessings I received from God this year.

I know these things are small and are not enough but then, knowing I was able to touch lives other than the circle of friends around me who do not even know me or know about my existence is one of the best things I have done for myself this year and I am grateful to God for that.

It most times is hard, I wouldn't lie mist especially if you've got so many responsibilities weighing down on you but you've got no option other than to give out.

We are still in the heat of the festive period, I mean it's not yet over yet, we've got 6 more days to end the year 2021 and begin a new year what have you done?

How many lives have you touched aside from your circle of friends and family who will always tell you thank you when you gift which I know isn't a bad one but wouldn't you want to know the feelings of giving to someone who you do not even know about or he or she doesn't even know about your existence is more thrilling.

Now, that's what I am grateful to God for, for the ability to give out and I am grateful because I want the strength to get give more when the new year start.

As I said, we are still in the heat of the period, so no matter how small, what you have is, give it out to someone you do not know about and the person does not know you too.

Take a walk around your neighbourhood and give the little you've got to a total stranger and watch your heart leap for Joy when that person smiles towards you with a thank you on his or her lips.
