DCC tag Contest ~ Money isn't everything

If only the world know that money isn't everything that won't go to the extent of killing just to get money. If only we humans know that money comes at the right time for a person, we wouldn't think of being in a haste just to acquire it. If only we let go of our greed, selfishness, and covetousness, then we will realize that the money we are running around for is just around us, we just need our positive and pure minds to see the money and acquire it rightly.

Many of us miss out on money and I mean a lot of it when we start thinking about ourselves only and the demeaning ways to get them. The money not only flies away from our hands but also vanishes like the snow.

I just finished watching a movie about a man who got married to the sole and only heir of a wealthy man, who died a year after he got married to the lady. The love this lady had for her husband made her include her husband's name as the sole owner of everything her father gave her without considering that anything could happen after the transfer of ownership was given to her.

The wealthy man before his death willed all his wealth to his daughter before his death which automatically means that her husband also would partake in 100% wealth given to his wife but this man's greed to get all wouldn't let him see the reality that he was as rich as his wife and could ask of anything from his loving and faithful without batting an eyelid.

He plans to kill his innocent wife and unborn child with a slow poison which succeeded in putting his unborn child in harm but luckily the information about the husband's wicked deed got to his wife quickly and the person who prepared the poison was able to save her life but she had to pretend like she was dead just so she could get enough information to hand them over to the law to decide their fate.

He couldn't get the money he greedily killed his unborn child and almost killed his wife for it but ended up destroying his life in the process. His greed for money blinded him from realizing that the money was also is all he needed to do was ask or snap his finger and I am sure, his wife would have done anything for him.

Like that man, many have also put their lives in danger way because of greed without even realizing that at a particular time, money will always get to us all we need to do is keep working hard and believing in God for the right time and for some, we lose relationships or friendships because we keep believing that every one that is around us is just because of the money they want to get from us. Perhaps that is right but then again, I believe money is meant to be spent, judiciously I guess but the sole purpose why money was created was to meet our needs which is also by spending why then do we let money play a bigger role in our life.

Why do we let money rule us when we are supposed to rule over it, why do we let our love for money push us into doing things we would later regret in life and end up saying "It was the devil's handwork" when truthfully the devil is a saint and even more innocent than us when it comes to our greedy nature for money. Like "Devil still dey learn handwork for our matter," that is the best way to describe our the heart of men can be desperately wicked when it involves money. They could go to any level just to acquire it without their conscience pricking them about their wicked plan.

@gbenga wrote an article about Money Myths People Shared With Me as a Child and these particular lines got me rilled up for good anyway and I decided to share with us.

I was with a woman while I was 12 years old and she said to me, "do you know that these health issues I am having are because I am not rich? When you are rich, all your problems go away". This is another lie that so many people who are poor or financially incapable believe. The truth is that money doesn't solve all problems, and the presence of money doesn't mean you wouldn't have any problem, rather money would only solve the money problem. When you have acquired wealth to a level, you start to understand that money isn't the solution to your problems.

Indeed money isn't everything and as such, isn't always the solution to many of our problems. We allow our quest for money to make us realize that in life there are other basics a human needs to survive in this world and money is the least of them all. Although necessary for humans but it shouldn't be more important than these basic needs, because without them even money will be hard to come by, these needs do work hand in hand with money to make our life better.

Although this is my first time participating in this contest but I am glad I came across the contest post and most especially because the movie gave me good vibes to write the theme for the contest this week.
